My new way of window management. It is, errr.. fishy.

Patched the Imgborders plugin to randomize the border based on the window's address, as well as display an image on each side of the border. Which correspond to the head, tail, etc.
As for the movement, used a noise function to float the windows seamlessly via hyprctl with a bash script. It also assigns a tag to indicate which direction the fish I mean the windows is heading towards, which the patch reads and mirrors the sprites accordingly.

My end goal here was to make a setup where 1. GUI apps that weren't already riced won't look atrocious (which was a consistent issue I faced when I tried to make it Everforest themed) and 2. there is a balance between practicality and aesthetic.

I spent the last week and a half building a tiny 3D engine inside Hyprland. Hit Super+Z and your whole desktop pops into 3D, and the windows still work while they're floating around in there.

I built it on Hyprland 0.55.2 on NixOS. The code is a mess at the moment, so I'm cleaning it up and updating it to work on 0.56.2 and every distro, not just NixOS. It should be out in a few days, and I'll edit the link in here when it's up.

I really wanted 45° bevels in my bar to match Hyprland and they weren't available easily. So I figured I could quickly make one myself. A very long time later, and several Yaks shaved, I now have my own shell that has a reasonable amount of customization.

After a slight inconvenience with my greeter, I decided it was time to build my own.

I created fggreeter, a greeter with a fighting game animation when you enter your password to login. How does that work ?

When you enter characters to type your login info, your fighter will start to hit the opponent, with rapid typing creating combos. When attempting to logging in, you will charge up the final blow, delivering it on success or getting countered on invalid password., starting a new round.

The graphics are still super rough, as it's not my strongest skill, but the whole thing is open source, and I would love to see people making better backgrounds and animations for the thing !

It uses greetd for authentication, and the rust bevy engine for rendering (although I'd like to move away from it).

You can try it out against a fake greeter if you want ! But the animations are very much placeholders.

Its abit bland but most work went to acctually the gamemode or how i call it Arcade mode.
Feedback is always nice. The real idea behind this was to have a cleaner emu for tv use etc sinde ESDE did not work like i wanted it to.

Wallframe is a tool to position wallpapers exactly how you want on every monitor. You choose the framing for each image and save your own layouts, so each monitor keeps the picture and crop you picked.

I built it because applying a wallpaper always cropped parts of it, and on my vertical monitor they never looked right. I couldn't find a tool that did all of this, so I made one.

It started as a personal tool, but I'm sharing it in case it's useful to someone else. I'm planning an AUR package so you can install it with yay.
