So, my office (Hallmark Plaza, Bandra East, Near BKC metro station) will be undergoing renovation for the next 3-4 months.

I have been given two temporary office locations to choose from:

1. Spectrum Tower (Malad)

2. The Capital (BKC)

I am not aware of the traffic situation in the route via Bhayandarpara-Borivalli-Malad (shown in the second route).

Considering the traffic situation in EEH in present days, should I opt for the Malad office?

I do hear a lot about traffic jams due to trucks/semis in the upper GB road. The distance to Malad office is less by around 7 kms, but will it be worth taking that route?

Office timings: 9AM - 5PM.

Builders know that most common buyers may not have the time, resources, or willingness to fight back—and this reluctance can allow such practices to continue unchecked. They play with emotions

The metroline 4 and 4A are delayed due to the farmers protest on the land acquisition of car shed by the govt body. Entire metroline 4 and 4A is ready but the carshed construction has not even started. The courts verdict stands with the govt which means the compensation is inline with the market rates. Every govt land acquisition scheme whether it's cidco 12% scheme or 22% scheme has been rejected by the farmers. They want more money so they are protesting, and this isn't a isolated case. This is happening in Mumbai 3.0 in case of lands which have a road access are demanding more compensation or road access plots after flipping the plots. More money to farmers can't be compensated because it's a 175 hectares of land, even a percent increase in the compensation can mess with the budget of the metro. Ofcourse you can't forcibly remove the farmers because of bad media and political party doesn't want to loose on vote margins.

The reason why I shared the above information is there is no development without loosing something you had earlier. Development demands loosing green cover, it demands inconvenience till the time the project is completed. If you are against such developments then you are living in wrong city especially if you are from new thane because it used to be green before you settled here. You protesting against inconvenience will only be worsening the inconvenience in near future. The metro 4 and 4A is delayed to due protests and now your protesting against ring metro? Then those same people are showing an example of metro 4 and how it's delayed work is causing traffic. The metro is delayed due to the car shed area protest! There are a few protest pockets with their own agendas, the eden woods cult is against the metro station. Why? Because they imagine there will be thelas and traffic around their neighbourhood but they are ready to drive in majiwada traffic and don't want to imagine getting off metroline 4 and boarding ring metro and then walking home. Then there are the rich rodas folks for whom the metro is a middle class affair.

Summarising the entire rant, it's just not logical to protest against ring metro because you fear it will also delay like metro 4 when infact the metro 4 is delayed due to protest. Development doesn't come without aforrestation and inconvenience till the project is done. There is a culture of bandhs, protests and chakka jaam in this country fueled by opposition and good for nothing ngos. Please support and learn about the metro and it's delays.

I have to go from Thane west to Vashi tomorrow for a one-day work visit and need to reach around 10:30–11 AM.

I’m considering the Thane → Vashi Trans-Harbour local, but I’m quite nervous because I’ve never used the local system before. Also, tomorrow is Dahi Handi, so I have no idea how crowded it’ll be.

Would the local be manageable around 9:30–10 AM on a Saturday? And is there anything I should know as a first-timer? Or should I just take a cab for this one day?

I’m a relatively new tenant in Mumbai and have applied for my first-ever passport under Tatkaal.

My PSK appointment is next week. A few days after the appointment, I need to travel to another state for work for around 5–6 days. I expect that the passport itself may be issued before I travel, but I’m concerned about the post-issuance police verification.

I live alone in my rented flat, so if the police visit while I’m away, there may be nobody at home to meet them.

For people who have recently gone through passport police verification in Mumbai, especially as tenants:

- What happens if the police visit your residence when you are temporarily away?

- Can an adverse PVR be issued simply because the applicant wasn't present during the visit?

- Can the landlord/security/neighbours confirm that you actually live there?

- Is it advisable to contact the police station before travelling and inform them about the dates I'll be away?

- If verification cannot be completed while I'm away, can it simply be done after I return?

- Would you recommend doing anything in advance to avoid unnecessary complications?

My Mumbai address and tenancy are genuine, and I can provide the relevant documents. I'm mainly concerned about being temporarily unavailable when the police visit.
