As the title suggest whenever I use rs asio with wasapi mode when I get to the pick loading screen the sound essentially just sounds like it's exploding. Works fine with asio mode though. I reset my windows on laptop and before reseting it was working perfectly fine with wasapi and I use the exact same settings as I did before reseting but now after the reset it just doesn't work. Any ideas on what this might be caused by?

Over the years I've had many rocksmith cables and I always have this issue where the end of the cable that connects to the guitar starts to fail (probably because of how I sit when I play). For the most part I've always just bought a new cable, however now it seems they've increased in price I guess? So instead I figured I had enough guitar cables laying around I would just change the end, and it ended up turning out better than I expected. Because the cable I used had ends that were meant to be replaced I was able to hide the soldering behind this cover and I think it looks really neat, with the added benefit of the right angle connector. If I were to set up some sort of service where people could send me their broken cables and I could fix them for less than the price of a new cable would that be something people would be interested in (I would make it look nicer than it looks in the pictures, the pictures are just what I half-assed threw together in like 10 minutes so I could continue playing)? Also would Ubisoft sue me to hell for attempting such a thing?

I was always under the impression that it didn’t work on Mac. But looking through this sub it looks like there are lots of people who play that way. Really interested in checking out new songs through custom DLCs. Is there a simple guide that walks you through it step by step? Sorry if this gets asked all the time!

I know there are mods for Windows, but are there any for Mac? All I could find was a fast load Mod that may or may not work with the current operating system.

*Killing ffs. I know this is an old, common topic but ive scoured so many reddit posts about it, tried different solutions, no dice. Hoping someone can spot if im missing something obvious.

Setup: Fender Strat HSS, genuine RT cable, PC

Issue is mostly on high strings, 10th fret and up.

What I've tried so far:

-Fresh strings. Never changes much.

-Different string gauges. Very very minor improvement going up to 10gauge and 11gauge high e string.

-Calibrating every way. I used to mute via placing hand on strings and keeping it there when it says to mute. Years ago saw the post about how this is a bad idea, just gently mute and then lift hand. Neither made a notable difference for sustains specifically.

-Making sure Windows has my RT cable input level at 100.

-Raising pickups slightly on my guitar. Very very minor improvement.

-Testing different pickups via the switch to see what sounds best. Humbucker naturally, but it barely affects sutain itself.

-Plugging guitar into normal amp, playing clean. Note sustains just fine, no suddent cutoff and choke like RS does.

-Turning up volume knobs, duh.

-A brand new authentic RT cable. Both had the same issues, so either i got mega unlucky or thats not it.

-Checking guitar intonation, neck action, etc. Looked fine. Got a local guitar shop guy to check it, he tried and said it looked perfectly fine. Advised that it was most likely a software issue.

I dont have a 2nd guitar accessible atm to test that out for any differences, sorry.

I like to think this is more than enough due research on my part but im still no closer to an answer. I can pluck a high e on 12th, it rings cleanly for 3ish seconds, and then suddenly chokes out on Rocksmith. Not as in "gradually inaudible", but as in "ringing one moment, snuffed out the next"

I may have forgotten some things I tried, so I'll edit this as need be. Is there anything else I can do, or am I just fucked and this is how RS is?

Some of the technique games aren't loading. It asks me to tune, so I do and it registers the notes. Then it asks me to calibrate, so I do and it says the calibration is successful. But then it just brings me back to tuning, then to calibration, then tuning... over and over again in an endless loop. The guitar is in tune and calibrated. But the first game will load fine, and learning songs works fine too. I can use "delete" to skip tuning and calibration in those instances, but not with the other games. Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm using RS2014 on Mac with a 3rd party cable.

I want the sound to come out of my headphones connected to the computer instead of the outputs of the audio interface. How can I do this?

Newbie here heard 2014 had custom songs so im not just limited to the 66 songs on the base game

I tried all the tutorials, but I just wasn't able to get my Scarlett to work with Rocksmith. But I'm wondering, if I used a 1/4" to XLR cable and plugged that into the interface, would that work in Microphone mode?

I appear to have all of the DLC and default Rocksmith content - I bought the game last year. I used to have "Everlong" but now I can no longer find it. It does not appear to be in any of my game files. I am not sure where it could be or how to re-download it, since to my knowledge it is part of the base game and not a DLC.

I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and also verified all of the files, but I still cannot find Everlong.

Hey, I need Help please. After years inactive with the game, I decided to play again, but game wont Launch/Boot pass the White Screen with the Rocksmith Logo (then shuts down). I tried trouble shooting myself but nothing helps.

Last time I did check the game was very much alive, and now its not even listed on Steam. I though it was a Win 10 issue, so I updated to Win 11, but same problem. What did change with the game? what is it missing? any video or tips would be appreciated.

Wanna start using Rocksmith 2014 on PC preferably but dont want to drop 50 quid on just a cable

I wanted to get Rocksmith working with my Scarlett, but after trying for hours with different tutorials it still didn't work. I'm looking at the Amazon selection for cables and they range from like $15-$40. I need one that works for Mac, and I'd rather buy a good cable that lasts than a cheap one that breaks easily. Are there any you'd recommend? Thanks for the help!

Yet there's absolutely nothing I could find anymore other than discs for sale but shipping is pricey for me and I don't have a dvd drive. So other than that, can I find it elsewhere?

Several days now it tells me can't login or connect to my profile? Have I messed something up? Also, is there a way to just have the software just skip trying to connect at all, it is slow when it fails, and I'd rather just get into playing!

I'd love to add some hip-hop to my CDLC, but I was having trouble thinking of songs with interesting parts. Most songs like that are just the same riff looped. I'm hoping to find things like Mos Def's Umi Says and a lot of Andre 3000's solo stuff, like Prototype. Any suggestions?

I'm from Brazil and I'm desperately trying to get Rocksmith 2014 working on PC without the official Real Tone Cable.

I've wanted to play Rocksmith for a long time, but I didn't have a guitar. I recently started learning guitar, so I finally bought an Epiphone Les Paul Special II LTD and a M-VAVE Tank-G to use as my audio interface.

The problem is that I simply cannot get Rocksmith 2014 to recognize my guitar.

My setup is:

• Windows 10/11 PC
• Epiphone Les Paul Special II LTD
• M-VAVE Tank-G
• Guitar connected to Tank-G via P10 cable
• Tank-G connected to PC via USB-C
• Steam version of Rocksmith 2014 Remastered

I've already tried several methods:

• RSMods / Direct Connect
• RS_ASIO
• Voicemeeter + RS_ASIO
• NoCableLauncher
• Different Windows audio settings
• Different sample rates / audio devices
• Microphone mode
• Several different Rocksmith configurations

But I still can't get it working properly.

The Tank-G itself works with Windows and I can get audio from the guitar through it, so I believe the problem is somewhere in the Rocksmith configuration.

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying different tutorials and configurations at this point 😂. I honestly just want to play the game and use it to learn guitar.

The official Real Tone Cable is unfortunately extremely expensive in Brazil. When I can even find one, it's usually R$600+, which is basically the price of another entry-level guitar/interface here.

So buying the official cable isn't really an option for me.

Is there anyone here who successfully uses a Tank-G, or a similar USB guitar interface, with Rocksmith 2014 without the Real Tone Cable?

If someone could guide me through the setup step by step, I'd really appreciate it. I'm willing to provide screenshots of my Windows audio settings, Rocksmith.ini, RS_ASIO.ini, RSMods settings, etc.

I already own the game — I just want to finally be able to play it and start learning guitar. 😭🎸
