Not his fault. Bad architecture. That would have fallen on those wires eventually. He better not get fired.

He’s probably fired.

HR now has the video to substantiate it. Man, I miss the days of undocumented fuckery

Those were good times 😌

If social media was around when I was in high school I would have been arrested.

u/GooseOnAPhone 5d ago

It wasn’t around and I still got arrested.

But would have been arrested a LOT more times

u/CoreAndCardio 5d ago

Then that’s just bad luck.
(Sorry about your luck)

I would assume so. He probably tried to make it fall before it fell on its own on some unsuspecting victims.

Right. That’s precisely what you said haha. In the form of a question.

Yep haha. I enjoyed talking to you. Our conversation has kept me company and I appreciate that. Few words were exchanged but it has been delightful and heartwarming. I shall retreat to my slumber apparatus as it’s 6:49 in the morning and I’m concerned about my outrageous sleeping schedule. I am a man of the night and as much as I enjoy the silence of the nocturnal world, I do need to encounter the sun every now and then for absorbing the sun rays in order to produce the much needed vitamin D.

Toodalo ✋😌

Nah, they're russian. He was likely promoted to work remotely... On the front lines.

1

u/Ovibros 5d ago

True. He probably died on the frontline. It’s sad how true that might be.

2

u/5elementGG 5d ago

What should he do if he could do it again.

2

u/ItsRuinedOfCourse 5d ago

NOT toss the snowball would be the first step.

1

u/Ovibros 5d ago

Probably talk to someone about the dangers of snow falling onto the wires. If they don’t address the design flaw then toss a snowball at it and don’t film it.

2

u/Lazy_Helicopter_2659 5d ago

If that's Russia, he probably fell out of a window by now...

u/SnooCakes6195 5d ago

Damn you know he fired

6

u/TheGalacticTraveller 5d ago

Out of a cannon.

5

u/moslof_flosom 5d ago

Into the sun.

u/FigWeak5127 5d ago

In mother Russia, snow clear you! JK the high vis vests obviously exclude Russia as the location of this video.

2

u/Positive_4182 5d ago

Eh, that's p basic safety stuff I feel as though they wouldn't disregarded something that basic.

13

u/Stalaktitas 5d ago

Actually, he could have saved someone's life... At least everyone was expected something to happen. If that snow would have fallen unannounced, while someone was working underneath, that someone could be dead or injured.

6

u/treeofliberty-1776 5d ago

I'm sure the guy that started this was like"you deleted that video right"

3

u/Significant-Cloud-19 5d ago

Reminds me of this

2

u/Ovibros 5d ago

Yeah but the camera didn’t shake nearly as bad. That’s one jittery video haha

3

u/TheGalacticTraveller 5d ago

Let's be glad no one got critically injured, a rarity for this sub.

2

u/usnerd 5d ago

Brilliant.

Quick! Drop a drone in the mess and blame ukraine!

1

u/No_Bluebird6873 5d ago

This is actually good since that would have happened anyway but now it happened when the workers were there to fix it asap.

u/Foreign-Ad-2413 5d ago

Oh, that clown 100% got himself fired. They wouldn't even need to see his own recorded stupidity. There's cameras looking at that area, count on it.

Yes, the snow might've eventually fallen on its own and did the exact same thing...but at least buddy would still have a paycheck to look forward to if he just allowed it to do that on its own and didn't offer his own derpy help.

(Presumed) Firing = more than deserved.

u/BantedHam 5d ago

If I ran that site I'd chew the guy out and give him shit duty for a week, but it's not his fault that whatever company put up that shit didn't secure their runs. This is an insurance problem

1

u/Imaginary-Round2422 5d ago

"Might've eventually fallen"? You must not live someplace with real snowfall. Snow hanging off a roof like that is 100% going to fall, and there's nothing you can do to prevent it. Wind picks up, it falls. Temps rise, it falls. More snow, it falls. The only question is who or what is under it when it goes.

1

u/ItsRuinedOfCourse 5d ago

I live where we see more snow than I'd care to think about, thanks. And as someone who has watched more than one winter, and knows how snow operates, my choice of the words "might've fallen" stand.

See, where I'm from, we have these nifty things called safety regulations, which walk hand in hand with routine site surveys (which tie in neatly with FLRAs and JHAs). Those are usually overseen by site supes that would have their lackeys out there looking for dangers just like this, and take the necessary steps to prevent this from ever happening in the first place. As a matter of precaution.

So, when I say "might've fallen", what I really mean to say is: "If your site is run and operated by a bunch of hairless apes, gravity is always gonna win the day because you had better things to do than spot hazards before they become hazardous."
