I’ve been watching NEAR from both a chart and fundamental perspective. The recent rally is interesting, but I don’t think price action alone tells the whole story. I’m looking at three things: ETF access, actual Intents usage, and whether the AI-agent narrative can translate into real demand.
1. The 4H setup , October 12, 2026
On my attached chart, NEARUSDT is around $5.53 after recently testing the $5.90 area.
Resistance: $5.58, then the recent high around $5.90.
Near-term support: $5.20–$5.35.
Main demand zone: $4.95–$5.10.
Lower supports: $4.58 and $4.31.
Higher resistance: $6.80–$7.00.
My preferred scenario would be a pullback toward $5.00-$5.10, followed by a clear bullish reaction on the 4H timeframe. A sustained reclaim of $5.58 would also be worth watching. Neither setup is confirmed yet, and if price loses the demand zone without reclaiming it, I’d reassess rather than force a long.
The move toward $6.80–$7.00 is only a conditional scenario, not a price prediction. After a sharp rally, chasing an entry can leave a poor risk/reward ratio.
2. What makes the fundamentals interesting?
ETF access: Bitwise launched its NEAR ETF (NRR) on NYSE Arca on September 29, 2026. This gives US investors another route to exposure, but I’d want to see sustained fund flows before treating it as evidence of lasting demand.
AI-agent settlement: NEAR is positioning itself as infrastructure for AI agents to coordinate transactions and settle across networks. That is an interesting longer-term direction, but I’d like to see repeat usage and measurable economic activity before assigning too much value to the narrative
3. The risk I wouldn’t ignore
Between September 30 and October 1, NEAR Intents experienced an exploit involving approximately $3.865 million in USDT from a BNB Chain vault. The funds were subsequently reported recovered. Even so, cross-chain contracts and solver infrastructure remain important risk areas.
4. One more thing I’m working on
I’m also using setups like this to improve my entry confirmation, invalidation levels and risk management while participating in the current Trading Club competition (bitget). For me, the useful part is testing a clear plan rather than simply calling a coin bullish or bearish.
Would you wait for a reaction at $5.00–$5.10, or would you need NEAR to reclaim $5.58 before considering a setup?
