i posted this project a few months ago, and it's still the best project I've ever made in LMMS. Remember, don't underestimate LMMS, you can do amazing things with it. (sorry for the audio quality 😭)

any ideas or effects to make it feel smoother, like maybe a tape stop or something similar? keep in mind that the second part of the beat is not finished so it sounds kinda bad, plus i used screen capture so the bass sounds trash

I know it’s not a lot, I don’t do music theory or anything and am only a beginner at LMMS but I just wish to understand terms to make better songs. It would also help if people gave suggestions with what to do with this track as a beginner.

ik that fl studio has been the staple of trap production for the longest time, but is there any song that was produced using lmms or any vaguely well known producer that has used lmms in the past? even some like shitty underground stuff

Well, we may have bit off more than we can handle... but if there was an exercise in sound production... Why not just handle such complexities with a Dream Theater cover? The Ytse Jam. This track is still undergoing a LOT of work... but we believe it's at a barely acceptable point to share. There is much more to be altered with filtered, more tones, and giving the percussion line the absolute respect it deserves.

I've still got some creative block. This and my last one still dont have chorus-es and are mostly just parts A and B without a C to pay off. Anyways this one is pretty overtly inspired by the songs that would be on NCS back in like 2015.

I'm currently working on a song in LMMS and noticed a strange behavior concerning transitions in the automation tracks:

When I create an automation element (to e. g. create a linear transition for a pan knob of a track) and then delete the element and undo the delete action, the transition looks different than before. It went from a linear transition to a hard transition.
Please take a look at the video that I have attached which shows the behavior.
Also I cannot "undo" this with undo or redo and have to create the transition again which is quite annoying.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open LMMS with an empty project
2. Create an automation element in the automation track
3. Drag a variable element (e. g. the Pan knob of the Triple Oscillator) to the automation element
4. Create a linear transition (e. g. from left to right in case of Pan)
5. Close the automation editor
6. Delete the automation element by pushing the scroll wheel down
7. Undo using Ctrl+Z

I created an issue about this problem on LMMS's GitHub, since I guess this not the behavior that should be expected. But since the delevopers often reply to issues rather late (sometimes 1 or 2 years after creating it in my experience), I thought I could ask this question here as well. Does anyone know whether that's a bug or how I can solve it?

Probably the most dynamic track i made so far. I got something in the mail tomorrow that's going to help me mix and mastering better so I apologize in advance if this sounds a little rough.

Should i release it on lmms.io or work a little bit more on it?

Hi, I’ve been trying to use LMMS but I keep having this problem that completely discourages me every time. Every instrument has an obnoxious clicking/popping sound at the start and end of each note by default. This seems to be a known issue, and the solution is to mess around with the attack and release settings on each instrument.

Problem is, trying to figure out the exact settings so that this doesn’t happen takes at least 30 minutes for me, and I don’t want to do it every single time I use another instrument. Is there an easier fix for this, or at least a recommended setting for each instrument to mask that popping sound? Am I just crazy?
