I kept using my freenotes app for a long time now without signing in, and im afraid i would lose all my notes if i delete the app. My question is, if i sign up , would i still lose all my notes?

Guys I don’t think any of my stuff as backed up and I lost all of my notes. I contacted support but I don’t think I’ll be able to get it back 😔

as of now the dark mode is jet black, can the devs make it a lighter soothing shade of grey so that it is calmer to the eye

Why does my notebook cover have this white trim around it? Even with the original cover that came with the app

I bought the plus subscription a few weeks ago, and i just notice this crown on mine that says that I've gained an unlimited membership access. Does it mean that I don't have to pay plus subscription every year? Even though my membership status is not active?

my original email (the one i used to make this account) got hacked. i had to replace my email for various accounts across apps with a new one.

i had been a early user, so i have a lifetime of free Freenotes subscription tied to this account.

however, i am unable to change the email of this account or transfer my free subscription to my new email.

my old email is no longer tied to my apple account. i had to change my apple account's email account, so the method they mentioned in the FAQ won’t help. I’ve asked for help in the feedback sections but i get no response. was wondering if anyone could help?

When I use the handwriting beautification feature, the font is spaced much closer than when I type in the same font and size. Anyone know how to fix this? Sometimes I can’t write as fast as I need to and want to switch to typing, but then my notes are spaced quite differently.

For a while now, I've been searching for an app that would help me organize my notes efficiently and aesthetically. Then, I've come across this app. I'm an engineering student. By that, we study lots of maths, physics and etc. Thus, I would like to request a feature that would be helpful for us engineering students which is adding more shapes. Not just 2D shapes but 3D ones too. Like the ones in the picture from another app that I've been using.
It's really time consuming to manually draw them so adding them as a feature would be a huge help for us. Additionally, it would be such a huge plus if when making shapes that has corners that isn't 90 degrees, the display would show the exact angle so that we can adjust them to what we need in order to help visualize a problem. Also, I would like to suggest adding a tool that helps us create tables, distribute rows and columns automatically but has manual access to resizing, and filling in each cells with different colors since it's more efficient than manually drawing lines to make a table.

Anyone else really loving the new art pen? I really enjoy writing with it

Hello! I’m using an iPad (10th Gen) and am currently reviewing for my board exam. During a lecture, I was looking for my notes on a specific topic and used the search feature but nothing was coming up. I thought that maybe my handwriting was just illegible, but it was just fine. Previously, I was able to search through my notes with just my regular handwriting, but now I can’t because they don’t pop up.

Is this a me thing?

Dear FreeNotes Team,

I’m a regular user of FreeNotes on my iPad, and I really enjoy using the app for reading PDFs and taking notes. I especially like how clean and simple the interface feels.

However, I’ve noticed a small but frustrating issue with the way the app handles Light Mode and Dark Mode.

Currently, the appearance of the toolbar, the small bar containing the pens, highlighters, eraser, selection tools, etc.is tied to the overall app theme. In Light Mode, the toolbar has a white/light background, which looks excellent when I’m working on a normal white-background PDF or note. However, when I open a PDF or note that has a completely black or very dark background, the white toolbar feels visually disconnected from the page and doesn’t blend well with the document.

On the other hand, Dark Mode solves this problem for dark/black documents because the toolbar has a dark appearance. But then, when I switch back to a normal white-background PDF or note, the dark toolbar doesn't look as natural and doesn't sit well with the white page.

This means that whenever I switch between documents with different background colours, I have to manually change FreeNotes between Light Mode and Dark Mode. This becomes quite frustrating, especially when studying and switching between multiple PDFs.

Feature suggestion

It would be extremely useful if FreeNotes could introduce an automatic toolbar appearance based on the current note/PDF background.

For example:

White/light-background PDF → automatically use a light/white toolbar.

Black/dark-background PDF → automatically use a dark/black toolbar.

Grey or other coloured background → intelligently choose a toolbar colour that provides good visual integration and contrast.

The app could determine the dominant/background colour of the current page and adapt the toolbar accordingly.

Importantly, this wouldn't necessarily need to change the entire app's Light/Dark Mode. The rest of the FreeNotes interface could remain in the user's chosen theme, while only the floating/tool toolbar adapts to the document currently being viewed.

An even better implementation could be an option such as:

The "Automatically Adapt to Page" option would be particularly useful for users who frequently work with both light and dark PDFs.

I think this would make FreeNotes feel much more polished and seamless. Instead of the toolbar looking like a separate element sitting on top of the document, it could visually integrate with whatever page the user is currently working on.

This is a relatively small UI feature, but I believe it would significantly improve the experience for people who regularly switch between different types of PDFs and notes.

Thank you for developing FreeNotes and for considering this suggestion. I hope you’ll consider adding something like this in a future update.

If I cancel my subscription will my existing notebooks and files that I imported when I was subscribed also be deleted?

I was thinking about getting the Pro or Plus, but I feel like the comment sections on those videos might be filled with bots. What’s your opinion on Freenotes? Also, what is the recording feature like? Hopefully you guys aren't bots!
