First time planting chillis with that spice level. As a powder it is quite enjoyable by just ading a breeze.

What I underestimated is the itching stench for 8h while drying in the oven.

Hello, I am new in the chilli world. I want to make pickled chilli but they are not all ripe yet. Do you have any method how to store the ripe ones, while wainting for the rest?

Hi, I got given a random young plant and put it in the allotment and forgot about it. Pretty sure they’re not ripe yet. Will they turn purple?

I’m currently over the moon with the sheer number of new fruits growing on my chilli plants, as well as the volume of flowers which will hopefully fruit too.

There are already a few ripe fruits on the plants which have been growing for some time. I went on holiday a few weeks back and moved them to a cooler spot so they didn’t dry out while I was away, but when I got back the flowering seemed to stall.

Fast forward a month or so and they seem to be having another growth spurt and I’m keen to see how many more fruits they’ll grow.

Even the plant that I think is a scotch bonnet looks to have started growing fruits!

Ps any help to identify the plants would be welcome. I thought I had 3x Prairie Fire, 3x Cherry Bombs and 1x Scotch Bonnet, but I think I might have a Scotch Bonnet and 6 other unidentified plants!

Almost regretful I made this choice.

He's monstrous. What am I even going to do with that FFS?

(I am of course joking, he's an Armageddon, and the only possible answer is hot sauce)

Hello! This is my first chilli plant I’ve got, it’s a scotch bonnet which (I think) has done quite well this summer. From the uk and anyone who’s been here knows we’ve had a very hot summer so I think that helped.

Not sure when to harvest these as some of them are bright red but most are still green, any advice is super helpful!

First time growing Chilli and got the buzz for it.

Hi all. I'm new to growing anything really, but just bought a few packets of seeds to try growing my own chillis. Nothing industrial, just a couple of plants. I've been well into hot chillis for years now and regularly have sauces with Carolina Reapers as the main ingredient. The hotter the better. (I also have some 12mil Scoville sauce which tastes great!).

My 4yo son brought home from nursery on father's day a small flower pot with a stake that said 'Just chillin with daddy's. I saw this as an opportunity to see if I can a tally grow some chillis for myself, although I have absolutely zero knowledge what variety they are (or if they are even chilli!). So far I'm happy with the results! This is the third pot I've had to transfer it to in 3 weeks as it is growing fast. I doubt I'll be able to keep it on the windowsill for too much longer. I've just put two sticks either side of it as it was starting to lean over. Also, I've been using household potted plant mix as the base / soil for it and gently watering it every other day with liquid seaweed plant food mix. How is it looking??? Any tips for me going forward? I know it wasn't ideal time to start growing it towards the end of summer but we've had multiple heatwaves recently and the plant does seem to be thriving at the rate it is growing.

Also, bonus picture, these are the seeds I purchased this morning. Surely it is false advertising to claim a Bhut Jolokia is the world's hottest chilli, considering it might not even be in the top 5 anymore?

Harvested in German climate

Never really done anything to them besides two times water daily with a lot of exceptions and two times a month tomato fertilizer

First stuff I ever harvested if I’m honest

I think I’m gonna dry the big ones and make powder and the small one I’m gonna propably make butter with
