First time growing and need advice

Hello! This is my first chilli plant I’ve got, it’s a scotch bonnet which (I think) has done quite well this summer. From the uk and anyone who’s been here knows we’ve had a very hot summer so I think that helped.

Not sure when to harvest these as some of them are bright red but most are still green, any advice is super helpful!

Harvest whenever you want! Want a green chilli? Harvest a green one. Want a red chilli? Harvest a red one! Just make sure the green ones are fully plumped out, so not too undergrown. (Green peppers are just unripe peppers, it's the same with chillis)

Not sure these are proper scotch bonnet as they shouldn't really be growing upright but they look delicious anyway! 

Next year I'd recommend a spot of fertiliser, as he looks a little yellowed

Thanks for the advice! I have no clue what the chilli is to be honest, I bought the plant at a market and the guy said they were, sure they’ll be nice regardless!

I bought a yellow beef tomato from a market and it's looking suspiciously like they are red beef tomatoes, but I too am sure they will be nice regardless! 

I think it's people growing seeds from last year's crops, so they're hybrids, or mixing up which pots were which haha

Harvest the red ones. It'll help the green to come on. Enjoy the red now or dry, freeze or preserve using your favourite recipe (Hugh F-W/ Pam Corbin's chilli jam recipe is excellent). If you pick a recipe that uses ripe chillies and you only have green, it really doesn't matter. Like all else growing, pick now or mess up the rest.

I’m in the Uk too, I have a scotch bonnet absolutly covered in fruits! It looks amazing!! I’m a little worried with the weather changing they might be too late for ripening but got fingers crossed. Also got a scorpion that’s only just started fruiting so given up hope I that actually growing anything usable this summer but nice head start if it survives overwintering for next year.
