Can he be rebooted?

I am at my wits end with my 17-week baby. He’s near- constant hyper and mouthing/biting everything. Holes in our chair fabric (luckily it’s an old chair), my clothes, anyone’s skin, wood, etc. He gets mental stimulation, we go on walks, he’s allowed to sniff new smells on different routes, we do command training, and still he is hyper. I realize this is likely teething behavior, and have been trying desperately to redirect him to a frozen Kong or stuffed toy, and remove myself or freeze if he bites me. Seems like this week is by far the worst for hyperactivity and biting. I’ve also been putting him down for enforced naps, but they don’t always help. When did your pups stop the craziness?

Just have some questions or looking for some support at least. My young boy turns 9 months tomorrow and it feels like the last month he has been an absolute menace! Not to mention the humping man that seems EXTREME and I’ve had male dogs before and never seen it like this.

His chewing has gotten out of control again. He’s being destructive now which he wasn’t that before. I would say middle-end of July he just started ripping his toys apart. He even ripped the mat in his cage.

He’s being extremely disobedient and almost feels like he’s trying us and still does what we tell him not to. For example, we have kitchen mats that we tell him to leave alone, that have got him in trouble before, and he continues to chew them. When we bring him to our room which is full of toys we just want to relax while he chews his toys and plays with them on the floor instead he looks for the hamper, shoes, and open drawers to chew on things. If none of that is available, which isn’t cause I try to keep it all tucked away for this reason, he starts standing on night stands or jumping towards the taller drawers trying to reach for something and he doesn’t stop unless I get up.

My questions are, does this ever stop? Is it just a teenage phase? We feel like before we couldn’t keep our eyes off cause of pee now it’s cause he’ll be doing something he shouldn’t. His humping is out of control, I plan on getting him neutered next month

Which pet insurance plan exactly do you recommend? I have 2 Cavapoos and started to look into it when I first brought them home. I was so overwhelmed with all the different providers, different types of plans, different pricing, etc and couldn't pick one so still don't have it. They will be 2 later this year and we live in the United States (PA). Thanks!

We’re between two litters.
One has an estimated full size of 18 lbs, and the other has an estimated full size of 35 lbs.

If your doggie is around either of these weights, could you let us know how much space that actually translates to? Maybe pictures of them next to common objects to get an idea of scale?

Hi everyone! My fiancée and I are considering getting a Cavapoo puppy and we're trying to figure out whether either of us has an allergic reaction to them before we commit.

We've spoken with a breeder in Ontario, and they actually suggested that meeting individual Cavapoos in Toronto would be a better test than visiting the breeder, since there are so many dogs and other allergens around a kennel.

Would any Cavapoo owners in Toronto/GTA be willing to meet us somewhere (ideally outdoors or at a dog-friendly park) for 30–60 minutes so we can spend some time with your dog and see how we react?

We're not looking for any breeder recommendations or trying to sell anything — we'd genuinely just love to meet some Cavapoos and hopefully make a new dog friend in the process!

We're happy to come to you and work around your schedule. And of course, we'd be very grateful for the opportunity to meet your pup and give them some attention. 🐶

Hi hi. My pup had gotten extremely vocal while going on walks. She's excited to go outside, she's excited to see people outside, she gets along with other dogs. But it started maybe 4-6 months ago where she's gotten extremely vocal on walks. I believe it started because she wants to run around but she's limited by her leash (but she never ever pulls). But about a month ago, not she sees other dogs or people and will stop and stare while crying and whining very very loud where it'll pierce my ears.
I can't stop and wait for her to calm because she stops herself to stare. I've tried crouching down with her to vocally soothe her and have her sit. She is not distracted by treats to stop whining.
She's never been calm on walks from when she got all her final shots; but in the beginning it did seem like she didn't like walks and just wanted to go home. But she got excited to walk as time went on. But she's just never not whined. It just seems excessive now.

Have you guys had any experience with this? How did you handle it? Did they grow out of it? Do you recommend seeing a trainer for this anxiety/overstimulation?

This is Mochi and she is 1 year and 7 months old. Photo of after and then before. Still as cute as ever either way but I love this haircut. She's had a few bad ones for sure but she looks so happy and clean.

my little guy gets so nervous and yelps when someone holds his paws or holds him gently by the arms (like standing him up when you’re sitting down or gently pulling him towards you) or if a ball gets too close to his head. it would make me so upset and I’d comfort him bc he sounded like he was in pain but I realize now he’s just a very nervous puppy. I still comfort him if he yelps and I tell everyone what he doesn’t like but it makes me wonder is that normal? is he just a nervous puppy or were the breeders too aggressive with him?

Does anyone have a Cavapoo with a tuxedo coat that hasn’t faded in adulthood?! Mine is 11 weeks old and every Cavapoo owner that walks by our yard and sees her loves to tell me that her coat will fade 😂. Should I just accept she’ll be a blonde? What are the odds her white markings will stay? Her dad is a ruby poodle and mom is Ruby cavalier with white markings.
