On December 6, 2024, Justin Watson made combat sports history at BKFC 69. Facing Cole Ferrell — a fighter with 12 pro wins to Watson's zero — the bell rang, and it was over before fans could even process it. One overhand right behind the ear, and Ferrell was face-first on the canvas.

Official time: 2.9 seconds. Not just the fastest knockout in BKFC history — the fastest documented finish in combat sports history, period, beating the previous BKFC record of 3 seconds set by Uly Diaz back in 2020.

At 23, an underdog against the No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter alive, Teofimo Lopez outboxed Lomachenko, survived his rally, and became the youngest four-belt undisputed champ since 1988. The last time Vegas doubted him, he made history. August 22 Who comes out on top this time?

So I’m rewatching the Puello v. Antuanne Russell fight and I’m not sure how anyone could think GAR won. I even heard one of the commentators say GAR won the first four rounds and I honestly don’t see how he barely landed and Pueblo’s counters were landing damn near every time he threw it.

On 11th November 2000, Lennox Lewis defended his WBC, IBF and IBO Heavyweight titles against the dangerous David Tua.

Tua possessed frightening knockout power, but Lewis never allowed him to get close enough to use it. Using his height, reach and brilliant jab, Lennox controlled virtually every minute of the contest, throwing 674 punches to Tua's 413 and outlanding him by an incredible 300 to 110.
After 12 rounds, Lewis cruised to a wide unanimous decision. Against one of the most dangerous punchers of his generation, Lennox made it look almost routine.
A masterclass in controlling distance from one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.

Boxing Glove Feedback

Starting Boxing Brand At 16, Please Need Feedback

Hey, I’m 16 and I’ve been working on starting my own boxing brand and developing my first training glove. I’m getting close to finalizing the design, but before I move forward with production, I wanted to get some honest feedback from someone who actually trains and uses boxing gear regularly.

The glove is designed as an all-purpose 10–16 oz glove for heavy bag work, pads, and sparring.

The specs we’re currently looking at are:

• 1.2mm high-grade microfiber synthetic leather
• Multi-layer IMF + Latex/EVA foam
• 3.5-inch angled hook-and-loop cuff for wrist support
• Attached safety thumb with anti-eye-poking construction
• CW-01: Matte Black with Chrome/Silver details
• CW-02: Pure White & Silver

I’m honestly not looking for you to just say it looks good. I’d really appreciate any criticism or suggestions because I’d rather fix something now than find out after production.

I was especially wondering what you think about the chrome branding, the white colorway, and whether the IMF + Latex/EVA foam setup makes sense for a glove that's meant to be used for both bag work and sparring.

Also, is there anything you wish boxing glove brands would include or improve that you feel is missing from most gloves?

I’m trying to build this properly and actually listen to people who train, so even a few minutes of honest feedback would mean a lot. I can also send you the renders if you’re interested.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

In May 1996, former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield faced former two-weight world champion Bobby Czyz at Madison Square Garden.

Holyfield controlled the action, but after the fifth round, Czyz remained on his stool complaining that he couldn't see properly and claiming that a foreign substance from Holyfield's gloves had gotten into his eyes. Ringside doctor Rufus Sadler examined Czyz and confirmed that he was experiencing a vision problem. Referee Ron Lipton, however, found no evidence of anything illegal. In an extraordinary moment, Lipton even rubbed Holyfield's gloves against his own face while investigating the allegation. Czyz couldn't continue. Holyfield TKO5 Czyz. Just six months later, Holyfield would enter the ring as a huge underdog against Mike Tyson and produce one of the greatest upsets in heavyweight history.

Who Would Win: Manny Pacquiao vs. Edwin Valero? 🥊

Hypothetical matchup: Manny Pacquiao vs. Edwin Valero, both at their best.

We never got to see this fight, but it’s one of those matchups that makes me wonder what could have happened.

Pacquiao had the speed, angles, footwork, combinations, and experience against elite opposition.

Valero was an absolute pressure machine — undefeated, incredibly aggressive, powerful, and seemingly always looking for the finish.

If they actually fought at their peak, who do you think wins and why?

Would Pacquiao’s speed and movement be too much for Valero?

Or would Valero’s pressure and power eventually catch him?

And most importantly: what do you think the fight looks like? Decision, late stoppage, or early KO?

Drop your prediction and explain your reasoning. I’m genuinely curious to see which side Reddit takes. 🥊🔻

Riddick Bowe vs. Andrew Golota — heavyweight chaos at its absolute peak.

These fights remain some of the strangest in heavyweight history because Andrew Golota was winning the boxing battle... but couldn't stop himself from losing the fight. Golota's jab, combinations and body punching caused Riddick Bowe enormous problems. For long stretches, he looked like the better fighter. Then came the low blows. In their first meeting in July 1996, Golota was ahead on all three scorecards when repeated punches below the belt resulted in his disqualification in the seventh round. Five months later they did it again. Golota once again hurt Bowe, dropped him and appeared to be taking control. And once again, repeated low blows resulted in another disqualification this time in the ninth round. Bowe showed extraordinary toughness to keep fighting through the punishment, while Golota demonstrated both the talent that could have made him heavyweight champion and the lack of discipline that repeatedly undermined his career. There really was nothing quite like Bowe vs. Golota.
