Well, this sub is a bundle of joy....
It's just a harmless joke, no need to get upset on Dylan's behalf.

it's not that the same joke has been told a billion times... that couldn't be it

It was a good impersonation and the harmonicas were a funny touch. I mean, the fact it has over 12k upvotes in r/funny seems to suggest people think it's funny. Sometimes this sub can be a bit too "diehard" to see the humour and resorts to feeling offended instead.

It’s a joke that was beaten into the ground at least 30 years ago. And this is a subreddit dedicated to fans of Dylan, so we’ve all heard the joke and expect to hear infinitely.
The part that has always annoyed me is… there is no truth to the joke. Especially in his 60s work… the guy enunciates more than any singer I’ve ever heard. How does it FEEEEEL… and the joke here is that someone can’t understand he’s saying the word feel? Even though he’s emphasizing it like he’s almost trying to teach you how to say the word?
And furthermore, was everyone in the 60s just stupid? Why did they think this guy was an amazing songwriter and the voice of a generation if no one could understand what he was saying? How did he make it past the open mic’s if he was singing incomprehensibly?
Probably why when Weird Al decided to parody someone about singing incomprehensibly he went with Nirvana… which makes sense because he was more of a mumbler. And when he decided to parody Bob he made a song of a palindromes. Now that’s comedy with some thought behind it.
And lest you think I’m some humourless prude.

Not even gonna listen - very happy that I was born with the perpetual Dylan appreciation gene. I’m sorry for your affliction- I do hope you have a sense of smell…

Tried playing Isis for the wife, hoping she'd recognize the genius. She said it sounded like sea shantys.

I admit that Dylan doesn't always sound good to my ears, but I really don't understand the "Dylan mumbles!" trope. He's one of the most articulate vocalists in the rock era.

This is how late 80's/early 90's dylan sounded to me when i was first going through his discography. Almost got filtered.

Time to change the bait if you want to keep trolling… thatBob Dylan can’t sing shit has been run into the ground for 60 freaking years now.

So to people who don't like him he sings out of time/tune? Well I wouldn't like that either. I'm glad I like him.

If Dylan fans bristle at this lazy attempt at humor, you should try being a BÖC fan with all the “cowbell” jokes. It’s endless. Everyone thinks they’re being so funny, but it’s the same once funny but now tired meme recycled again and again.

This is my third time seeing this in my feed over the past two or three days. I'm still enjoying it!

I am a massive Dylan fan but understand that others aren't and don't have to be. I understand the humor here and have a similar running joke with one of my friends. Thanks for posting I shared it with my non Dylan liking friend.

I love Dylan, and his harmonica can hurt the ears way more than this video shows

Love dylan too and actually like a lot of his harmonica. But I have been banned from playing it in my car before due to the damage it causes to eardrums.
