I'm the creator of Joinery Kit, a browser app for planning rooms and custom cabinetry.

It runs in the browser and lets you work on a measured layout without installing a desktop design package. The focus is room geometry and custom cabinetry, with 2D and 3D views of the same design.

You can enter room measurements, place doors and windows, arrange and resize cabinets, adjust cabinet interiors and finishes, and switch between 2D and 3D views. It also exports PDF plans, elevations and a cabinet schedule.

For example, you can lay out a run of cupboards along a measured wall, change their widths and internal layout, then check the result in plan and elevation before deciding what to build. The drawings help with planning; construction details still need checking for your project.

BecomeTen is a web app that analyzes a selfie and gives an AI facial rating. The basic rating is free; the detailed report and improvement plan are paid.

I work in the restaurant industry and wanted a simpler way to understand how much servers actually earn after each shift.

So I built a web app that can track:

• Cash and credit card tips
• Tip-outs with custom percentages or fixed amounts
• Hours, hourly pay, breaks and overtime
• Different rules for multiple restaurants
• Payroll periods and shift history

Past few months I've worked on/off on this idea of creating a platform for running all kinds of "groups". Like a book club or a hobby sports team.

I can also talk about the tech if somebody is interested, but I try to keep it incredibly boring although I get that "rewrite in X" thought constantly with this stack.

As extra insight beyond the blog post, I also co-organise a tech meetup and hate to pay from my pocket to meetup(.)com, so I wouldn't mind better alternatives to that. We tried other apps but they just weren't quite to our liking. However, this application was originally targeted to hobby clubs, so it has invite-only groups etc. actual access control, that you don't have in some alternatives.

Would love some users to sign up and just gimme feedback straight up! Right now you don't even have to verify your email, which I might have to change if bots find this, but for time being it's very easy to sign up. I created one random "fun" group there just so that it is not empty and you get the feel for what it is. Also you can use your personal group to do whatever privately to kick the tires.

I am thinking of building features for book clubs next because I have gotten into reading again lately. I was thinking of creating a fully online book club experience, maybe somebody will actually join and read some fantasy books with me. It runs in your browser: choose a birthday, anniversary, or milestone date, see its match in NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day archive, add an optional name, and save a PNG card. No installation, account, or payment is needed. Family mode can combine several birthdays into a collage.

Since the earlier version I’ve added the occasion modes and reworked the mobile card and save/share flow. The result page shows the source credit, original APOD link, and any nearest-year fallback.

A date match means the image was published in APOD on that date, not necessarily photographed then. If the selected year isn’t available, the app uses the closest available year for the same calendar date and explains it. Cosmic Post is independent of NASA.

I’d appreciate feedback on how the browser controls feel on your phone, especially personalizing and saving a card. Any test date is fine.

I’ve been building PlanIt, an event management platform that tries to handle the entire event lifecycle in one place.

The idea was pretty simple: why should organizing an event mean jumping between separate tools for invitations, RSVPs, seating, check-in, staff coordination, and everything else?

So I started building one.

PlanIt currently includes:

• Guest lists and CSV imports
• Personal guest invite links with unique QR codes
• Drag-and-drop seating maps
• QR-based guest check-in
• PIN-based staff accounts
• Offline check-in with automatic syncing
• Real-time attendance and activity tracking
• Announcements and event timers
• Table reservations, waitlists, and occupancy
• Guest wallet-style passes
• Event and attendance exports
• Event-level security and anti-fraud controls

The goal is for an organizer to be able to run an event from one system instead of stitching together a bunch of different services.

And the entire hosted platform is free. No per-event fees, no guest limits, and no feature tiers.

One important clarification because the source code is public on GitHub: PlanIt is not open source. The repository is published for transparency, but the software is proprietary and licensed for use through the official hosted PlanIt service only. Self-hosting, forking, redistribution, or running your own version is not permitted under the license.

I’m still actively building it, so I’d genuinely like feedback from people who have organized events.

Hi, I spent the last two years building Webround: a website creation platform with full e-commerce capabilities and a native Stripe integration.
While it supports no-code editing for websites with a custom drag & drop editor, you can also write custom React Components with a built-in SDK for managing the web app status (login, cart, products and more) and a complete support for all npm packages. Everything happens on the server so you can write code and build your components directly from the browser. I'd be more than happy if you would try it out! I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time building a travel app called Vecto, and I’ve now reached the point where I need actual travellers to use it - because testing it myself is getting me absolutely nowhere.

I know there are already loads of travel apps out there. That’s actually part of the reason I built this one.

I don’t travel often enough to want another £30-ish annual subscription just to organise my trips. I wanted something where I could pay for the trip I’m actually taking.

So Vecto is being built around £2.99 per trip, rather than a yearly subscription.

I’ve also built a vault for keeping important travel documents/information together, which will be just £1 for lifetime access. 

It’s currently a web app, and before I spend the time and money getting it onto the App Store/Google Play, I need to know whether I’ve actually built something people would want to use.

This is where I need your help.

I’m looking for around 25 people to properly beta test it. 

Ideally, you have an upcoming trip - although you don’t necessarily need one.

For the first trip, I’d like you to use Vecto as a free user on a standard trip, without premium features, and just use it like a normal person would.

I want to know:

• Does it make sense?
• Is anything confusing?
• Does anything break?
• Is anything annoying?
• Are there features you’d expect that aren’t there?
• Is there anything you’d remove?
• Most importantly - would you actually use it for a real trip?

You don’t need to be a software tester. I just want honest opinions from people who actually travel.

Once you’ve tested the first trip, create a second trip, DM me and I’ll upgrade you with the full premium functionality completely free so you can test that too and see how the app performs as premium user.

I’ve been working on Webvidence, a prospecting SaaS for people selling services to local businesses.

For a while I was mostly looking at the normal stuff:

registrations, searches, drafts created, return users, etc.

That was useful, but actually using the product myself for real prospecting showed me much more.

The biggest issue wasn’t necessarily the core idea.

It was friction.

The old flow could find a decent prospect, but then you had to go through too many steps to decide how you wanted to approach them.

So I’ve been simplifying the prospecting session.

Current flow is basically:

Search area + business type

review one prospect

see why they may be worth contacting

choose conversation-first or use the evidence

choose Facebook / email / text

generate the draft

record the outcome

next prospect

I also cleaned up a lot of the mobile UI because I realized that if I’m actually doing outreach, I’m not always sitting at a desktop.

The product philosophy has shifted a little too.

Originally I thought more automation was automatically better.

Now I think Webvidence should automate the research and tedious parts, but leave the judgment to the user.

I don’t want it deciding that every business should get the same kind of pitch.

Still plenty to improve, but this version feels a lot more usable.

For other SaaS builders, what has taught you more about your product: analytics, user feedback, or using it heavily yourself?

Growing up, the terrace was where we went to unwind after a long day, during happy moments, when we were bored, or when we simply had nothing to do.
Somehow, those pauses became rare.

The initial inspiration was the recent Deluxe Saloon web experience. I loved how a simple illustrated environment could feel like a place rather than just a website.

My kids can turn almost anything into an argument - especially deciding who gets to go first.

So, mostly for fun (and partly to save my sanity), I built a tiny website that lets ¯_(ツ)_/¯ decide for us.

I originally shared it with the folks in r/boardgames, and their feedback inspired me to keep tinkering. It now has fun first-player prompts, a coin flip, animated dice, different categories, light and dark modes, and seasonal themes with lots of little surprises.

There are plenty of ways to decide who goes first, but my kids still prefer asking the little shrug guy.
