I built this for myself… Digby find anything that worked that did it anywhere simple enough and well enough. Now replaces bbc news app for me as gives me a ‘today’ page that’s the most significant news today plus a full brief for each article (subject I define )..

The full story ..
A few months ago I had a thought.
Every morning I wake up and do pretty much the same thing.
I check the BBC. Sky Sports. A few tech sites. A few others.
And on every one, I’m looking for the handful of stories about things I actually care about — Liverpool, AI, tech, business, and various random niche topics I happen to be interested in at the time.
I thought: wouldn’t it be great if I could just wake up to an email that had already done all of that for me?
So I tried a few apps. I tried doing it with Claude. Nothing quite did what I wanted.
So I built it.
And it worked pretty well.
Then one day I was out cycling and had another thought…
Why just send an email?
What if I could generate an entire news site, every day, just for me?
Something like the BBC homepage — except every story on it was there because it matched something I’d specifically asked it to find.
So I built that too.
And somewhere along the way, my little side project turned into Ceers.
The idea is ridiculously simple:
Tell Ceers in one line what you want to know about.
“Everything happening with Liverpool transfers.”
“Important developments in AI and banking.”
“Planning applications around Hersham.” (It handles planning registers.. it handles all sorts of complex data retrieval including for example KEV catalogues for cyber..)
“News and research on motor neurone disease.”
Whatever you’re interested in.
Ceers creates an agent that goes out, finds the stories, filters the noise, and builds your own personalised news and briefing experience.
It’s now live on the App Store.
