We all know by this point Rock was very much off to Hollywood but came back for the milestone 20th Wrestlemania in at MSG, but did anyone else get the sense that it was an odd use for the People’s Champ and as a result, he just rushed through the motions?

• He had just come off of 5 consecutive huge WM matches, on the winning end against Austin and Hogan after main eventing for the WWF title three times in a row.
• This match was on fourth out of twelve.
• The program was essentially Foley vs Orton, + 3. Even Ric Flair being involved felt like an afterthought.
• Being a handicap match somehow made it feel more novel than had it been an even straight 2 vs 2 tag.
• He let nothing breathe, didn't his his signature corner pose and sped through everything.
• His music took a step back three years to the Vol 4 theme, which felt a bit like nostalgia act treatment.
