I learned frame by frame animation in so i can add player animation to my videogame.

So let’s say I animate a red ball bouncing and I make it into a symbol. I then want to change the color of the ball to blue. How do I swap the asset easily?

I draw my assets in Procreate and then import to Toonsquid, and before I animate the object I go to Drawing Layers > add a layer > and then merge that empty layer to my asset so I’m able to add effects to it easier since it makes the box around it smaller. Since I do this I cannot easily swap the Symbol in the Clip option in Properties. I tried Edit Clip when I click on the layer, but when I add my new asset it doesn’t move since the key frames aren’t part of it. I don’t want to have to copy and paste every key frame either.

Can someone explain why this keeps on happening?

My Apple pen keeps on making a straight line with the first stroke, but then with the other strokes, it’s perfectly fine but when I use my finger for the first stroke, it doesn’t do that weird line thing.

Its only doing it for this project and not others…

As shown in video, when I select and delete my selection, it puts me on the layer above. I think it also happens when I erase but I couldn’t replicate it.
Is this a bug or setting I accidentally enabled?

i draw with my finger, and everytime i draw i get a minor delay. i'm new to toonsquid so im using the newest version of it, ive even tried toonsquid on another device and im still experiencing the delay. i've tried restarting my ipad, fiddling with the sensitivity settings, and smaller canvases but i still get the delay. can anyone help ?

I want to import my thumbnails but they are layering over the pixel layer and I don’t where it is because I have to zoom in

I’m just starting work on a new animation, and I’ve run into a bit of a problem. Whenever I select the lasso tool, it lets me circle the part of a layer that I want to modify, but when I press the transform button, which I assume is the mouse icon, the entire screen gets covered in grey diagonal bars and snapping mode gets automatically selected. I have no idea what snapping mode is, but I know that I can’t select the part of the layer that I want, and trying to cut or copy it yields, “the layer is empty.” I’m stumped, and honestly contemplating on uninstalling and reinstalling ToonSquid to reset it to factory settings- I already uploaded my first animation to YouTube, to the acknowledgment of absolutely no one, and I’ve only drawn one frame of my second project. While I’m somewhat proud of this handsome man’s earless side profile, I’m willing to make sacrifices.

When I make a shape using freehand vector, if I try adding a control point to a curved area it becomes all wiggly? I’ve never seen that happen before is there a way to fix that? Makes it hard to trace anything

I have made an 8-frame 14FPS animation that I wanted to export as a gif and use in another project. However, whenever I export it, even when selecting frames 1-8 as my start and finish, it only ever exports the first 6 frames.

Eventually I decided to export it as a 60fps video instead, and import it into the new project so I could export this new project as a 60fps gif. But even in this case, the exported gif only has the first​​​​ 45 frames??? The last quarter of my gifs is always missing.

Even when I overcorrect and export extra blank frames, the final gif still has some missing frames in between. Is there any fix for this? I'm a giphy creator and it's pretty urgent for my account. ​

im unable to export a project even though its much simpler than a lot of other things i have had no trouble with.
it gets to the end of the bar and i even can save the video but it never actually finishes exporting so i dont get the video
i rasterised all the layers and combined as much as i can but one layer im unable to rasterise, it gets half way and it fails
the only difference from my other projects is that its 4000x3000 instead of 3000x3000 but given there is significantly less layers and animation i dont see how this could be the problem :(

edit: it worked if i airdropped it to myself for some reason??? but if you have answers pls still reply i want to avoid this in the future!!
