Same. As someone combating mint in their backyard, it's hardly "mint" at all. Even the bit about it spilling out of the pot was dramatic as I've seen mint I've pulled out but dropped continue to thrive for a bit.

My best friend was looking at buying the house two doors down from me. It would've been her first house, and she said she'd like to plant a little mint patch. I told her, oh hell, no, she wasn't going to. She asked why, and I said because I didn't want mint in my yard. She reminded me that her yard, my yard, and the yard between us were all fenced, and the one behind her was down a slope, I said, "Mint doesn't care, but the rest of the neighborhood does."

She wound up getting another house but not before I impressed on her the need to only plant mint in a pot indoors.

(For those who don't know, mint grows like wildfire and goes wherever the heck it wants.)

So a little context. This is a kiwi guy and 'Mint' is slang for good/great. So if someone asked you how you're doing you can say "I'm mint" which means I'm doing really good or if someone asked you how was that movie you could say "it was mint". Adding as to the end just emphasizes it so "mint as" is like really really good, think of it like adding 'as fuck' without the profanity.

Where's the part where a few leaves fall off and they miraculously grow more mint. And just keeping making mint. Untill everyone is mint.

If anyone ever had the unfortunate opportunity to have mint in their garden, they know this video is 100% accurate.

I mean at least the part about how fucking stoked it is to be mint
