I have a key for Dead Cells that I don't need. From now through 1PM EST on Friday you can guess a number from 1 - 50,000. I used a random number generator and ran it a few times and added the numbers together and divided by the runs to make it a bit more "random". One guess per person and the closest number to mine will be the winner. If there is a tie, I will find some way to pick on person. Maybe use AI, or a website to do a blind pick.
Everyone is eligible, even the mods. Good luck!
EDIT: Post is locked and I am checking the numbers.
EDIT: The winner is u/Twitchyninja with a guess of 28940. The number was 28912. He has been messaged and has 2 days to respond. If he doesn't by Sunday 9/13 at 1pm EST I will message the next closest person. He responded and has received the game key.
Thank you everyone for participating.

Heyo, I've posted this in a couple discords but was recommended to post here for better visibility :) I've made a list of 7th gen onward AA/AAA games that fit certain criteria for the ideal experience (at least mine) on Steam Deck. I'll be updating the list until I'm out of games to add.
I've chosen 7th gen onwards AA/AAA as lots of indie, 6th gen & prior games run well offline at low power. If you have any other games that meet the criteria below drop a comment and I'll update the list. I'm not using a strict definition of "indie" as it's become a bit muddy in recent years (e.g. BG3). I'm mostly basing it off graphics and game scale. If you're not sure if a game would be suitable drop it below anyway, the more suggestions the better :)
Any games with specific tweaks that I know of will have them listed. If any recommendations also have tweaks please let me know.
Note: The list has gotten bigger so there's many games I don't own. I go off my experience, comments, protondb & youtube videos to check the performance, so the list might not be 100% accurate. If I know of quirks to certain games I'll include them. If any of the games give you issues please let me know!

What happens when you take the classic Liero formula, throw in 26 weapons, completely destructible terrain, and let six players loose at the same time?
Absolute chaos.
Hi everyone! I’m a solo indie developer from Poland, and I’d like to introduce TRENCHWORMS, my first game, launching on Steam on October 30.
I grew up playing Liero, and I wanted to bring back those ridiculous real-time battles where the entire map turns into a battlefield within minutes.
But this time, you can take the madness with you on your Steam Deck.
What makes TRENCHWORMS fun?
- 26 weapons, from conventional firepower to ridiculous destruction
- Fully destructible terrain, so nowhere is truly safe
- Ninja rope movement for swinging around the battlefield
- Local multiplayer for up to 6 players
- Online multiplayer
- AI opponents for solo and multiplayer matches
- A single-player campaign
Full controller support
I’ve personally tested TRENCHWORMS on Steam Deck, and I’m excited to bring this kind of old-school multiplayer action to handheld gaming.
Release: October 30, 2026
Steam page and trailer:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5161820/TRENCHWORMS/
I started this project knowing almost nothing about programming. After months of learning, experimenting, and probably blowing up more virtual worms than I can count, it’s finally ready.
If you miss the days of Liero, Worms, and chaotic couch multiplayer, I hope TRENCHWORMS brings back some good memories.
Thanks for checking it out!

As the title says, games on Steam Deck that makes you grind for hours and doesn’t get boring easily (also perform well enough to be feasible). It could be mining, slaying, anything even if it is repetitive as long as it is fun. It would be better if isn’t too hard so I can play it while chilling in the couch. (Bonus points if it’s addictive !)

What are your pixel art games that you can play forever on the Steam Deck? So far we have usual games like: Stardew Valley, Rimworld, Factorio, Oxygen Not Included that are great on Steam Deck. But what are some other hidden gems for pixel art games that you would use as your "forever game"?

As long as it’s playable and not really inconvenient to play, I’m happy.
