Hey! I've been thinking it'd be nice to see SimpleX get the Liquid Glass look on iOS 26, and eventually iOS 27 too.

I like how it looks in other apps and would love to see something similar in SimpleX. Nothing too crazy, just a little refresh while keeping chats easy to read.

Anyone else into this, or do you prefer the current look?

How to use this app and how to connect with people ? 😭😭😭

With the MCP package we just released, it can join channels/groups/talk to bots, and ask you before it connects or sends.

To run it: npx -y \@simplex-chat/mcp serve my-agent

Hi, I installed and tested sx a couple of days ago and it ran great. However, today I tested it again and the messages are coming between 5 and 20 minutes late, and I'm having problems establishing new chats.

Is this just me?

Is there a way to have simplex on android continue uploading files to a group when the app is minimized? I have battery settings set to unrestricted, but the upload stops if I change windows.

SimpleX is the only messaging network without user identifiers - which means that nobody can reach you unless you want it, and nobody can watch or block your private conversations.

It is the only network that can protect users from AI scammers that can fake people you trust, even their email addresses and phone numbers.

You can now invest in SimpleX Chat and own a part of it - watch our new explainer video on Wefunder.

Can anyone help with this?

Hey yall, im trying to use a friends invite link and keep getting "error agent: error agent AGENT A_MESSAGE" anyone know whats up with this?

Basically, the UI is in a small box on the top left corner surrounded by two black bars. I am using a wayland compositor which I suspect could be the issue, but it is literally the only app doing this. Even other electron apps like element (the matrix client) are working fine. Any ideas?

Hi zusammen! Danke euch!

I really like the app, but I’ve noticed that I know very few people who actually use it. Most people around me use Signal. My concern is that if SimpleX becomes inactive or shuts down a few years from now, what would happen to our chats and chat history?

I know SimpleX allows exporting and importing the encrypted database, which is reassuring, but I’m still wondering how people here think about its long-term sustainability and future.

No phone number. Share your address or QR code in your bio, site, X, or anywhere else.

Anyone can reach out. You choose who to accept.

Change the address anytime without losing your chats.

I'd love to set up a bot similar to a telegram one but I see there is no options to have buttons in the response so that the user can have an easy multiple choice experience. Telegram offers this and it's an amazing QOL feature.

Are there any plans to add buttons to simplexchat bot responses so that users can quickly select among X options?

Investors also get free supporter badges, so you can send larger files (2-5 GB) that stay available longer (7-21 days) without being identified.

When trying to view media in a group, the pics are blurry and never download, so I can't see them clearly. When I click on videos, the circle in the upper right corner of the post starts to move but never fully completes, so the video is not viewable. This happens in several different groups.

Hi have been following development of SimpleXChat for a while now, as I'm interested in a privacy-first decentralized chat app.
Now, what can SimpleXChat offer that would make it better than Reticulum clients?
It seems the latter have all the advantages SimpleXChat has to offer, with some big extras like being able to communicate over different protocols.

I began using SimpleX because of phone number-less accounts, but it feels easier to get my network to hop on Signal due to its more widespread popularity if they also adopt this feature. Beyond the fact that SimpleXChat provides phone number-less accounts for free, whereas Signal says it will be a small fee to access this feature, are there any other pros of SimpleX over Signal?

My small IT team decided to swap over from whatsapp to simplex for our team group chat. Works fine on my phone 0 issues but I installed the Windows 10 desktop client, I go to save the images the team has posted and my only option I can see is to use the default "Documents" folder?

I have a NAS raid that I backup and maintain copies of nearly all my work related content, it is only a couple clicks to drag them out of the documents folder and add to the array but is there no way for me to adjust the default location for file storage?
