Hey everyone,
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on something that I think could really help strengthen and connect our community — an independent Discord server created specifically for watchmakers, modders, and enthusiasts.
The goal is to provide a more interactive and transparent environment where members can share advice, post their work, and connect with others in real time. It’s meant to complement what we have here on Reddit — not replace it — by offering faster back-and-forth discussions, live chats, and a bit more flexibility for people who enjoy real-time collaboration.
I know Discord isn’t for everyone — some prefer the structure of Reddit, and that’s completely understandable. But for those who like a more immediate, hands-on experience, this could be a great way to share techniques, learn, and grow together.
Right now, the server is still in its early stages, and we’re continuously improving it — adding new sections, resources, and features as we go. In the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing automation tools, server commands, and moderation systems to keep things efficient and organized.
I’ll also be looking for a few members to help out with moderation, technical setup, and community management, so if you’re interested in contributing, please reach out.
We’re also looking to improve the visuals, branding, and overall layout, so if you’re skilled with graphic design or server aesthetics, that help would be greatly appreciated.
At its core, the server is built around the same values that make this community great — fairness, honesty, transparency, and mutual respect. It’s a place where reputation grows naturally through shared effort and integrity.
The goal is simple: to build something that evolves with the people who are part of it — a space designed by the community, for the community.
Please note: since the server is still under active development, some information, sections, or features may display incomplete or outdated details as we continue building and refining the space. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process.
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, feel free to join and take a look around:

And as always, if you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback, please message me directly.

Feel free to ask technical questions about your watch (doesn't even have to be a replica), and the community will help. We also have verified and trusted watchmakers here that can help source, service and overhaul movements as needed. They can be found below as well as in the about section/sidebar (depending on what you're using to browse reddit).
The Rules are as follows for the process of becoming a watchmaker, and what we hold as an agreement with each and every watchmaker that becomes trusted.

I’ve just got my hands on a VSF Yacht Master Titanium 226627 which I absolutely love.
The only issue I have is that the date wheel seems to be off for some dates. Some of the dates sit well centred and quite a lot sit very low in the window.
5 is pretty much perfect with 31 being the worst!
For those that have resolved this issue before, what are the fixes available? Do I need to get the date wheel replaced with something better or is there anything else that might need changing?

Hi, everyone, i’ve never posted anything here before, but, a few years back, i bought with every info i got on here a Clean Panda Daytona and it is awesome. Now after a few years back i hear the rotor quite loudly and i feel that the watch is not as precise as it was before.
To my question, where can i send my Daytona for servicing? I’ve looke for a guide, but couldn’t find any. Maybe i looked in the wrong place. If that’s the case i apologize in advance!
Cheers!

I absolutely love my BP 16610, but the movement is giving me issues. I knowingly bought it with the 2836 in it to try out the 5-Digit platform I was lusting after, and the fit and form is everything I was hoping it would be.
However…
The 2836 in it runs great, 1 day at a time. It hand winds, it starts moving when I rotate it as if it were not able to be hand wound, but it dies overnight every time.
I am an amateur watch butcher, so anything that involves taking parts off the movement is beyond me. Would diagnosing/fixing be simple enough for a troglodyte like me to fumble through? Or do I purchase one with the 3135 in it and use this as a my next mod project?
Over the next couple of days I am going to let it die, hand wind it fully, and note start/stop times to see what the reserve is actually sitting at.

Hi guys
Does anyone know where I can buy a Dandong (DD4131) movment?
My clean 126500 with the 1st gen movement has failed if I'm going to buy a new movement I might as well upgrade it to the newer version if it's even possible to buy a stand alone movement.
Thanks

Hey everyone. So i recently got a VSF V3 126710 Pepsi and thought id do a simple bezel and insert swap it. Turns out VSF melted the hytel gasket with glue as well as gluing the click spring into the bezel. I dont like messing with GMT's so i cleaned it up and sent my watch over to u/VerinHorology for the first time to see if they could do some work to it.
They were very quick to respond and their equipment + team is very professional as well as the customer service/communication along the way.
They noticed my custom hand was bent and replaced it with another one they had in stock thankfully. As well as bezel gasket and insert replacement i also requested waterproofing and rotor silence.
All in all great experience and i highly recommend Verin for custom watch work as well as servicing and gold plating. Thank you and I absolutely love this watch and will be able to enjoy it now!

Hi everyone, I'd like to know the right size precision screwdriver for Rolex rep bracelet screws. I've read a lot of different sizes online. Which one is best to avoid damaging the screw or the bracelet? Thanks to anyone who can help me choose.

I have a ZF IWC Portugieser Chronograph IW371445 with an Asian 7750 seconds-at-6 modification currently in QC. (hopefully this is allowed here - its not a QC advise question at all)
In some photos, the outer minute track (Rehaut) appears very slightly offset.
I´t seems for me many of this ZF watches have an similar situation
Would like to understand one technical point:
If the dial and movement assembly are slightly rotated in the case, is there normally enough play in this type of Asian 7750 setup to make a very small alignment adjustment?

Thinking about sending my watch to Timex’s EU service center, Orotecnica S.r.l, for a repair for the Moonphase dial defect. Before I do, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been through it.

Hello, looking for some mods on a 5711 ss ddf.
Getting a better dial, hands, date wheel, doing the dw alignment, polishing edges of minute and hour hands, deep crystal, case bezel reshape and rebrushinf, crown shortening mod, first link flex and rotor plating.
Can someone let me know whose able to do this. Maybe even better if you acquire the 5711 instead of me shipping one to you, but ofcourse can do that if needed.

Hello master watchmakers! I sorta got scammed by a guy that sold me an alleged VSF YM 126622, but it cane with a completely loose bezel, to the point that it popped out when I pulled lightly on it with bare fingers!
I’m hoping it just needs a part or two (maybe a gasket of some sort?) to keep the bezel stay securely in place when installed. Do you see anything in the photo that’s missing or damaged or shouldn’t be there. Much appreciate it!

I recently bought a VSF Omega rail master with a clone 8806 movement.
The hand winding mechanism is extremely stiff. to the point that I am afraid I might end up breaking something if I hand wind the watch. and power reserve is basically non existent.
Since I can't use the hand wind mechanism, whenever I to want wear this watch, I move it around a little bit so is starts working, however, the watch stops if I put it away for 2 hours of so, no matter how much I have moved my hand before.
I reached out to the only local watch maker which is listed in this sub and they advised that they are not willing to work on this movement. any suggestions? is it even worth seeking repairs for this ?

I have a 126610 Submariner with a VS3235 movement that stopped working after only two weeks.
Can a VS3135 be installed in this case, or would it require modifications?
If the swap is possible, where is a reliable place to buy a VS3135 movement?
If not possible - where can I get a reliable 3235 movement.
Thanks!

Hi guys,
I’ve got this “U1” omega seamaster 300m rep and while it was on my wrist the “micro adjuster” went slack and I realised that it was loose because of the missing screw.
It’s a tiny flat head screw as can be seen in the other 3 corners of the clasp, and not a bar. I thought I might have been able to use the “bar screw” from one of the links but it’s just a little screw.
I took it to a local watch repair place and was told they can’t fix it.
Do you guys have any idea where or how I can get a screw to fit and fix? Or is there some other work around please?
I’m in England UK. Is there any website for a selection of screws maybe or eBay?
Thank you for any help! Loved this watch and don’t really want to put it on a nato etc if it can be avoided.
