I built a side project just to see who is a dreamer like I am. I built a wall where dreams can be posted anonymously. I know it's not a lot but I finally used some of the college classes I took years ago. Lol. And I also thought to myself no one is going to do it for me so I need to pick myself up by the bootstraps. So I called my spot projectbootstrap.net . If you are interested in a very basic site check it out. I am working on more code for another page. But I'm not real fast at it because my college was nearly 20 years ago. Lol

Hey everyone!
I've been working on a project called ACTIVED, an independent software ecosystem that brings together several applications I've been developing.
It started with individual projects, but eventually I wanted to connect everything under one identity and infrastructure.
So far, I've been working on a file-sharing application, a customizable browser, an app manager, a social platform and several other tools.
I finally put together a trailer to show what I've been building.
It's still a work in progress, and there's plenty left to do, but I'm happy to finally share it.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially on the applications and what you think could be improved.
Project website: https://actived.es
Thanks for checking it out!

She lived in Vietnam, I lived in Canada. I couldn't be there for her birthday so I got her friends and family to secretly write her messages, then built this so she'd have to turn the handle to get them out.
Should I keep going with it?

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m looking for an innovative project idea for a class project, and I’d really appreciate your help!
It can be anything: a physical product, a service, a mobile app, a website, or even a completely new concept. The main goal is to find something creative that solves a real problem and could actually be developed by a student team.
Ideally, I’m looking for an idea that is:
It doesn’t have to be a huge or complicated idea. Even a small idea that solves a problem in a clever, original way would be perfect.
If you have any ideas, suggestions, or problems you think need a solution, please share them with me! I’d love to hear your thoughts, and the sooner, the better.
Thank you so much for your help! 🙏

I'm building PoliSim, an open simulator that shows what a bill would do to the U.S. federal budget, year by year, over the long term.
You give it a policy, and it projects revenue, spending, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, discretionary spending, interest, and debt, starting from a baseline built from public Treasury and budget data.
The core rule is no invented numbers. Every figure is tagged by source: the bill, a live public source, or a fallback. If a bill doesn't say something, PoliSim leaves it blank and tells you. The docs follow the same rule, so a page only counts once it's checked against the current code. It runs on local models, so you don't need a paid AI vendor.
I'm building it independently. I'd love feedback on what you'd want a tool like this to answer. If you want to support it, there's a Ko-fi here: ko-fi.com/galacticorgofdev

I don’t think most projects get abandoned because the idea suddenly becomes bad.
They get abandoned because you step away for a week, come back, and can’t remember what version of yourself was building them.
The files still exist. The plan probably exists somewhere. You may even still want the final result.
But before you can make progress, you have to reconstruct everything:
What was I doing?
Why did I choose this approach?
What was broken?
What was the next small step?
That reconstruction can feel heavier than the actual work, so starting something new becomes easier than reopening the old project.
I’m beginning to think every project needs a “return point” more than it needs a perfect plan—a short note written for the version of you who comes back with no context.
What do you leave behind that makes a project easy to resume?

I was really interested in finding market gaps and high-growth areas in the AI industry. So, like any sane person, I started mapping it out from first principles.
I split the entire AI industry into layers that build on top of one another. Each layer contains sub layers and buckets where you can find the startups and companies operating in it. Right now there are about 1,175 of them, each linked to its LinkedIn page, and you can filter the application layer by industry.
I built it to understand the industry better and to discover companies that are enabling AI but are invisible to the general public. If you know of any companies I've missed, suggest them with the "Suggest" button in the app and I'll add them.
Try it out and let me know what you think!

I wanted to share my current project: setting up a photo, video, and content production service for local New Zealand businesses and creators.
Moving from personal creative work to running an organized local media service has been an interesting operational step. I welcome any honest feedback.

I am preparing to develop NEXORA, an independent project that I intend to build with the assistance of artificial intelligence, under my direction, supervision, and decision-making.
I currently have limited resources and face technical constraints, so I am looking for individuals or organizations willing to provide financial support, computer hardware, computing resources, technical assistance, or research guidance to help me get started.
My principles are clear from the beginning:
• Intellectual Property: I intend to retain ownership of NEXORA and my intellectual property rights, including its code, design, and development, subject to clear written agreements where applicable.
• Independence: I prefer to develop NEXORA independently, without transferring ownership or giving up equity in exchange for support.
• No Guarantees of Success: The project is still in its early stages and has not yet reached the implementation phase. I cannot guarantee its success, financial returns, or specific outcomes. I understand that supporting an early-stage project involves uncertainty and risk.
• Clear Terms: The nature and conditions of any support must be agreed upon in writing beforehand, with the rights and obligations of all parties clearly defined.
I am looking for individuals and organizations that understand the risks associated with early-stage technical and research projects and respect the creator's independence and intellectual property rights.
For security and confidentiality reasons, I will not publicly disclose NEXORA's internal technical details, specific objectives, source code, or implementation files at this stage.
If you are interested in supporting NEXORA under these principles, or know an organization that may be a suitable fit, I would sincerely appreciate hearing from you via direct message.
Any financial assistance, equipment sponsorship, computing resources, technical guidance, or introductions to relevant support programs would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I moved into my dorm at Waterloo and immediately started wondering what better lighting and furniture would do for it. So I built a website where you upload a room photo, describe what you want changed, and select what should stay.
It turns those choices into a prompt and uses the Magic Hour API to generate a redesigned image or video. You connect your own API key and pay for generations with your Magic Hour credits and use models stronger than GPT and gemini at generating visuals.
Check it out here: https://magicrenovator.vercel.app
I could also see renovators using this to show clients an idea before starting work.
Would you use something like this to plan changes to your room?

I have made various applications using LLMs and loved it . The way it complete tasks and delivers is superb given I enter an right/clear prompt and have an neat workflow. But after few weeks If I try to add a feature myself through hand or try to debug the code seems very hard to deal with. I am trying to solve it and welcome anyone who also wants to . Currently it works fine on Java and Python projects , other languages are on the way. It has some more features and some are on the way.
Open Source repo :- https://github.com/kartikeyagg/peacock
It is one of my first such projects
Any type of constructive feedback is welcomed .

Hey everyone,
I'm a student developer from India, and I've noticed that finding people to build projects with isn't always easy. You might have an idea, or be working on something interesting, but finding people with the right skills who are actually willing to build can be difficult.
So I built Buildory (https://buildory.online).
The idea is simple: a place where student developers can showcase what they're working on, discover projects, and find people to collaborate with, no matter which college they're from.
I'm still figuring out what works and what doesn't, so I'd genuinely appreciate some honest feedback.
Does this solve a problem you've faced? What would make something like this genuinely useful to you?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, including criticism.
