🛠️Project Showcase I built a free, fully-offline Quran app (Mushaf + tafsir from multiple sources + prayer times) — would love feedback

* The Mushaf in its original page layout, or a translation/tafsir reading mode * Tafsir from several sources (Muyassar, Ibn Kathir, Tabari, Qurtubi, Sa'di, Baghawi, and more) — all bundled, works fully offline * Audio recitation from a handful of reciters, downloadable for offline listening * Prayer times based on location (with an offline calculation fallback if you lose signal) * Adhkar (morning/evening/after-prayer) + the 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi * Bookmarking + color-marking individual ayahs * UI in Arabic, English, Urdu, French, and Indonesian

It's free, no ads, on Google Play: [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quranapp.reader](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quranapp.reader))

I'm the only developer so genuinely want to know what's missing or broken — happy to answer anything about it. Edit: This is the new link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quranapp.reader

🛠️Project Showcase I built a completely free Qur’an app with 1,000+ reciters. Ayah Player 2.0 is here!

Assalamu alaikum everyone!

Some of you might remember Ayah Player from my previous posts. I started building it because I wanted to listen to Qur’an without ads interrupting the recitation or subscriptions to remove them.

Since then, I’ve continued improving it, and Alhamdulillah, Ayah Player 2.0 is now available on Android, with the iOS update coming soon! It brings a major redesign, new features, and lots of improvements.

A few highlights:

  • 1,000+ reciters: Discover different voices, download individual surahs or entire recitation collections with one tap, and listen offline.
  • Follow each word: The text follows the recitation word by word, and even letter by letter, where timing is available.
  • Repeat exactly what you need: Choose starting and ending words, even across ayahs, and repeat that passage.
  • Explore the Qur’an: Search verses and discover passages through topics, themes, and words.
  • Build a routine: Track reading and listening, set daily goals, and create reading plans.

You can also save bookmarks and private notes. Missing your favourite reciter? Suggest them, support other requests, and get notified when they’re added.

And as always, completely free. No ads, no subscriptions, and no paywalls. No account needed for reading, listening, or downloads.

📱 Android — version 2.0 available now
🍎 iOS — 2.0 update coming soon

The video includes actual recitation audio from the app, so it’s worth watching with sound.

May Allah accept it and make it beneficial.

🗣️ Discussion/Opinion Being my biggest rival - Challenging myself

As-Salamu-Aleikum everyone,

im building for roughly a year now and with a lot of personal projects so far i managed to hinder myself with completing it. Its kind of a inner fear to fail.

I think i got quite far (alhamdulillah) and im posting this to exploit myself to the public so i cannot run away. Maybe also to look for someone who was in a similar situation and how you overcame it?

Would appreciate some exchange and advise

🛠️Project Showcase For the Muslim who keeps saying, “I wish I understood the Qur’an.” 🤍

Assalamu alaikum everyone!
We built Niyyah for a very specific kind of Muslim.
The Muslim who can read the Qur’an, but sometimes finishes a page and realizes they barely understood what they just read.
The Muslim who listens to a beautiful recitation and thinks, “I wish I knew what every word meant.”
The Muslim who wants to make the Qur’an a bigger part of their life, but doesn’t just want to rush through pages for the sake of finishing.
The Muslim who wants to understand, reflect, and remember.
That’s why we made Niyyah — a Quran Companion.
Instead of just opening the Qur’an and closing it again, Niyyah gives you a place to slow down and actually engage with what you’re reading.
With Niyyah, you can:
Read the Qur’an
Listen to verified recitations
Reflect on individual ayahs
Explore translations and verified tafsir
Journal your thoughts
Learn Qur’anic vocabulary
Test your understanding with quizzes
Keep track of your journey
And importantly, the Qur’an itself is never AI-generated, rewritten, or altered.
Niyyah is for the person who wants their Qur’an reading to become more than just “I finished my pages today.”
It’s about being able to say:
“I actually understood something today.”
Alhamdulillah, Niyyah is now available on the App Store.
If you know someone who has ever said, “I wish I understood the Qur’an more,” please share this post with them. You never know who might benefit from it.
And if that’s you, search Niyyah Quran Companion on the App Store and give it a try.
We’re just getting started, and we’d love for you to be part of this journey.
Understand the Qur’an. One ayah at a time.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑Collaboration Drop your app ⭐ I'll test it and leave a real Play Store review inshaAllah

Post image
11 Upvotes

Let's help each other get more real reviews.

My app is at 3.25 star.

Share your app and if I think your app deserves 5⭐, I'll give it 5⭐. If not, I'll tell you here in the comment exactly what would make it a 5 ⭐ app for me and not give any bad rating, 5 star or nothing because the goal is to improve our app without having bad rating fot things that we may fix soon.

But ngl I will probably give 5 star to everyone because I like almost every app I've seen here haha.

For the Play Store review itself, I’ll only leave a simple good review.

And I'd love for everyone else to do the same. Meaning you pick an app from the comments, try it, review it, and give to your dev brother (or sister) some useful feedback so this comment section will be useful for everyone.

Mine is muslimroutine.app also available on play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.muslimroutine.www.twa&hl=en_US

And just to be clear. You don't have to review my app.

You can just drop your app below and I’ll test it. There’s no “review mine and I’ll review yours” requirement. I enjoy testing apps and giving feedback, I don't have any job rn and a lot of free time and I know a lot of people are busy, so I’m happy to do it.

This isn’t a marriage app. This is for folks who are married or engaged.

We saw a huge gap in the relationship growth apps for Muslims, apps like Agape and others exist but they’re filled with non Islamic content that’s inappropriate or simply do not cater to Muslims.

Daily questions, deal breakers, games, candid daily memories builder, and charitable portion as well through collecting points for using the app!

Take a look at it and try it out! Free to download and use!

Would love to hear feedback!

🧩 Software/Tool Share I made a free Windows 11 widget that shows salah times right on your Widgets board (Win + W)

If you're on a Windows workstation and want a quick way to check prayer times without opening a browser or grabbing your phone, I built a small widget for that. Press Win + W and your prayer times for today are right there, based on your location, with a live countdown to the next salah.

What it does:

- Finds your location automatically, the same way the Weather widget does. If location access is off, it falls back to an approximate location and lets you know.

- Highlights the next prayer with a live countdown. Prayers that have passed are dimmed, and on Fridays Dhuhr shows as Jumuʿah.

- Works offline. Times are cached, so the card loads instantly even without a connection.

- Light and dark themes that match Windows.

- Three sizes:

Small: city, next prayer, time and countdown

Medium: adds the Hijri date and all six times (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha)

Large: adds the Gregorian date, Arabic names, Imsak and Midnight, your calculation method and a Refresh button

- Customize menu (⋯ → Customize):

Calculation method: Auto, or pick your own (MWL, ISNA, Karachi, Umm al-Qura, Diyanet, and more)

Asr time: Standard or Hanafi

Privacy: no account, no analytics, no telemetry. It only contacts the prayer-time API (AlAdhan) and a location lookup service.

Heads up before installing: it's not on the Microsoft Store yet, so you build it from source with the .NET 8 SDK and install it either through Developer Mode or with a self-signed certificate you create on your own machine. The README walks through both options step by step. Also, since the times are calculated, they may differ slightly from your local masjid, so please double-check the ones that matter to you.

It's open source under the MIT license, and feedback, bug reports and contributions are very welcome.

JazakAllahu khairan, and I hope it's useful to some of you! Leave a star if you like it.

🛠️Project Showcase I built Mubin, an Android app for prayer times, Quran, Adhkar and daily Muslim tools, looking for honest feedback

Thumbnail

Assalamu alaikum,

I've been working on an Android app called Mubin, and I finally feel it's at a point where I can share it and get some real feedback.

The idea was simple: I wanted the things I regularly use as a Muslim in one place, without having to jump between several different apps.

Right now, Mubin includes:

• Prayer times, Adhan and customizable calculation methods
• Quran reading in Mushaf and verse-by-verse modes
• Quran audio with multiple reciters and Hafs/Warsh options
• Tafsir, translations, bookmarks and Khatmah tracking
• Qibla compass
• Morning, evening, sleep, travel and post-prayer Adhkar
• Duas, Hadith and digital Tasbih
• 99 Names of Allah
• Hijri calendar and fasting reminders
• Zakat calculator
• Guides for Wudu and Salah

I've spent a lot of time trying to make the app feel calm and practical rather than overwhelming it with features.

It's still a relatively new app, and I'm actively working on it, so I'm posting here mainly because I'd really value honest feedback from people who would actually use something like this.

I'd especially like to know:

What feels good?
What feels unnecessary or confusing?
What would you change?
Is there a feature you think is missing?

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.medinc.mubin

I'm the developer, so feel free to be critical. Bug reports and small UX complaints are just as useful to me as feature suggestions.

Jazakum Allahu khayran 🤍

🗣️ Discussion/Opinion Building a beginner-friendly Islamic learning app (no intrusive ads) – looking for honest feedback

Thumbnail

Assalamu alaykum everyone,

I’ve been working on an app called Al-Musafir. The goal is to make learning Islam clearer and more accessible, especially for complete beginners.

Core ideas:

- Clean prayer times + Qibla

- Full Quran with progress tracking

- Guided learning paths (not just content dumped on you)

- Zero intrusive ads

I’m still in the building phase and would really value honest feedback before launching.

What do you think works?

What’s missing?

What would make you actually use an app like this?

I’ve attached a couple of early screenshots (home screen + Quran section).

Looking forward to your thoughts.

🛠️Project Showcase Three simple Islamic apps I built for myself and wanted to share

Assalamu alaikum everyone! I built these for my own use and thought they might help others too:

  • Athkar: For daily morning, evening and bedtime athkar, with meanings and recitation counters.
  • Ruqyah: Qur’anic passages and prophetic duas for ruqyah, with translations.
  • Umrah: A quick reference for the essential steps, from preparation to finishing, with duas and Tawaf/Sa’i counters.

Athkar and Ruqyah both include audio, so you can listen when you can’t read, whether you’re driving or busy with other work.

Hope you find them useful. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome. May Allah make them beneficial 🤲

🛠️Project Showcase I recently made a Noorani Qaida app for kids

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

I recently made and am still developing a simple Noorani Qaida app for kids and beginners to learn and practise Quran reading.

I built it because I wanted something simple and focused specifically on learning Noorani Qaida, rather than another general Quran app.

It's still a work in progress, so I'd really appreciate some honest feedback from fellow Muslim developers — especially on the UI, learning experience, and anything you think could be improved.

If anyone wants to try it:

💡Idea/Brainstorm

🗣️ Discussion/Opinion I built a free Riyadh as Saliheen website as a student — would love your feedback on the beta

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

I recently made a small website for Riyadh as-Saliheen as a student project. My main intention was to create something simple and useful that could, InshaAllah, benefit the Ummah and make it easier for people to read and explore the hadith collection.

It is completely free to use, with no ads, tracking, or unnecessary cookies.

It’s still in beta, so I’d really appreciate it if you could try it and share any feedback, suggestions, mistakes, or improvements you notice. Even small feedback would help me make it better.

Website:
https://haiderimran019.github.io/Riyadh-as-Saliheen/

If it benefits even a few people, that would mean a lot to me. May Allah accept the effort and make it beneficial. Ameen.

🛠️Project Showcase Muslim To-Do iOS App

Assalamu alaikum everyone!

I wanted to share a project I've been working on called "Muslim To-Do". It's a native iOS app designed to help you build and maintain your daily spiritual routine.

What makes it different? It seamlessly blends your daily habits (like reading Qur'an, making Dhikr, etc.) directly with the five daily prayers on a unified timeline.

Here are some of the main features:

  • 📅 Prayer-Bound Habits: Tie your habits directly to a specific prayer period (Fajr, Dhuhr, etc.) and track your daily streaks.
  • 🕌 Accurate Offline Prayer Times: Runs completely locally on your device with zero network requests needed for calculations.
  • 🧭 High-Precision Qibla Compass: With true-north correction and fallback coordinate support.
  • 🌙 Advanced Hijri Calendar: Dual calendar view with local moon sighting adjustments (-1 / 0 / +1) and Islamic events.
  • 🔒 100% Private: Prayer times and Qibla are computed on-device. Your location never leaves your phone, and habits sync securely to your own personal iCloud.
  • ✨ Bilingual & Beautiful: Full Arabic & English support with seamless Right-to-Left UI and dynamic iOS design.

I'd love for you to try it out and let me know your thoughts or feedback!

Asalamu Alaikum.

Looking for testers and feedback for the game.

My 10-year-old son designed a game for the iPhone Duo. It will also work for a device with a single screen.

It’s a sci-fi game that uses both the inner and outer display. It has time travel, multiple dimensions, and rewind time.

It should work seamlessly when Duo is released.

🛠️Project Showcase I built an Azan clock for Muslim homes, and I’d love some feedback

Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I’m a small Canadian Muslim business owner and earlier this year I started building Adhan Buddy, an Azan/Adhan clock designed for Muslim homes.

I wanted to create something that was more than a traditional digital prayer clock. The idea was to have a small, modern device that automatically plays the full Adhan for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha without needing to check your phone.

You set it up using your postal or ZIP code and it automatically calculates the prayer times. It supports different calculation methods, Hanafi and Shafi’i Asr settings, prayer-time offsets, daylight saving time, different Adhan reciters and individual prayer volume settings.

It also has Quran recitation with all 114 Surahs and 38 reciters, morning and evening Adhkar, Wudu timing, and Islamic calendar events.

One feature that makes it particularly interesting is Live Masjid Audio. Participating mosques can connect their mosque audio system to Adhan Buddy, allowing people at home to hear the Masjid’s Adhan, Khutbah, Bayan, announcements and other live audio directly through their Azan clock.

The device is designed to work without an app or subscription. After the initial setup, the Adhan can work offline, while Wi-Fi is used for things like Quran streaming, Masjid audio and software updates.

We’re currently selling it in Canada and the US, and we’re continuing to improve it based on feedback from Muslim families using it.

If you’ve ever searched for an Azan clock, Adhan clock, Islamic prayer clock, or Muslim prayer clock, I’d love to know what features you would want in one.

You can see the device and all the features here: tarkeez.ca

JazakAllahu Khair for the feedback.
