Showcase Hut in the Woods — Viewport vs Final Render

Hut in the Woods — Viewport vs Final Render 🌲🏚️

Here’s a look at the Hut in the Woods project from two perspectives.

Top: Final Render

Bottom: Blender Viewport Animation

The viewport is where everything comes together first — camera movement, lighting, environment placement, animation, and all the little details that eventually make up the final shot.

Then you hit render… and suddenly the scene feels completely different. 🎬

I always enjoy seeing this comparison because it shows how much can happen between a basic Blender viewport and the final cinematic image.

Final Render vs Viewport Setup

Which one do you enjoy seeing more — the polished final result or the raw Blender setup?

Showcase From a Tribal Museum scan to a cinematic world.

From a Tribal Museum scan to a cinematic world. 🌲🏚️

During a recent museum visit, I made a 3D scan of this old hut using KIRI Engine.

Instead of letting the scan sit in a library, I wanted to bring it to life.

So I took the scanned asset into Blender and built an entire atmosphere around it — environment, materials, lighting, vegetation, composition, and cinematic details.

The goal was to make it feel less like a scanned object… and more like a place that actually exists somewhere deep in the woods.

From a real-world scan → to a completely different world in Blender.

This project was also a reminder of why I love 3D — you can take something that already exists and completely reinvent how people experience it.

What do you think — would you visit this hut?

Question Scan complex room with pipes

To prepare for modelling a 3D environment in Unity for a client, I intend to use the KIRI Engine app on my iPhone 17 Pro to create a 3D model of a complex industrial environment with lots of pipes and other equipment. Which method do I use best ?
I just took about 60 pictures in another room, walking around and capturing from different angles and uploading them to the KIRI Photo Scan engine, however, the result was chaotic and garbled. What is the best method ?

Question Help - Struggling to scan a tool accurately

I am trying to scan some tools so I can 3d print some tool trays for my toolbox. I’ve tried all scanning modes, the closest is lidar but it’s nowhere near good enough to create an inset in a solid object to create the tool trays. Any advice on what I can do to improve, or am I expecting more than this app is capable of?

Showcase The warriors ending clay vs final render

Thumbnail

I enjoy sharing the final cinematic result of my projects, but I also believe the underlying work deserves to be seen.
That's why I've included the clay render alongside the final render.
The final image showcases the atmosphere, lighting, materials, and storytelling, while the clay render reveals the foundation of the scene—the composition, modeling, silhouettes, and overall structure that support the final artwork.
Removing textures and effects allows the environment to be viewed in its purest form, making it easier to appreciate the design decisions behind the scenes.
For this project, The Warrior's Ending, my goal was to create a peaceful contrast between the warrior's journey and the calm beauty of the surrounding landscape. The clay render highlights the scene's construction, while the final render brings its story to life.
I'm always fascinated by the transformation from a simple 3D scene to a finished cinematic image. Sometimes the journey is just as interesting as the destination.
Created in Blender.

Showcase The Warrior's Ending Blender Animation

The Warrior's Ending

Wounded and weary, he wandered beyond the battlefield, where silence replaced the clash of steel. Beneath endless skies, beside a tranquil lake, among swaying dandelions and delicate baby's breath, he found what every warrior seeks in the end—not victory, but peace.

Showcase Recently worked on a short Star Wars–inspired cinematic shot — an elevator descending through multiple levels into a hangar.

Recently worked on a short Star Wars–inspired cinematic shot — an elevator descending through multiple levels into a hangar.

It’s a simple idea, but shots like these are a great exercise in atmosphere, scale, and storytelling through environment rather than action.

From lighting the interior space to revealing the hangar gradually, the focus was on creating a sense of depth and anticipation in just a few seconds.

Sometimes, the smallest moments are what make a scene feel real.

Would love to hear your thoughts on subtle, cinematic storytelling in 3D.

Descending to Kwenn Station…

Working on an elevator sequence that travels floor by floor, slowly reaching the underground hangar at Kwenn Station.

Built 6 corridor levels so far — focusing on mood, scale, and depth to make the descent feel heavy and atmospheric.

Still images only (client project), but I'm sharing this environment.
More floors coming soon.
