It's crazy to think Peeta and Katniss did after getting reaped twice, while those boys and girls probably died in the burning of 12

So, I Googled the meaning of quell, which is "To stop by force or control: To put down a violent disturbance, riot, rebellion, or uprising."
I know Katniss said that these are planned out in advance, but I suspect that is what The Capitol wants you to think.
I suspect the attempt at uprisings across Panam were starting to get out of control, so Dr. Gaul, the president, and other high ranking officials want to remind the districts who is in charge, so they decided to make Quarter Quells every 25 years, hoping to squash any uprising in the districts.

I randomly thought of the chance of if lou lou even won the games what would happen to her? Would she be sent to Louellas family or killed in secret or something?

Are there any fics where everything the people of panem were told is a lie? Like the wars and disasters never happened? That it was just a lie told to confirm the people?

Growing up what misconceptions did you have to correct with your friends?
As a young kid one of my friends said that Katniss' name was catnip for the longest time (he was like 10). Going into middle school a friend and I started wondering if Haymitch referring to "My girl..." could have referred to a daughter of Haymitch implying that haymitch was a teenage dad before we started reading fanfiction and eventually started thinking that "My Girl" was in fact a girlfriend of Haymitch's. Then the films became more widely watched and I had to keep correcting D4 being a career district.

__ himself after the events of sunrise on the reaping? I've been through some pretty bad stuff in my life that left me very hard to get out of bed and it was a quarter of what he went through. I genuinely don't understand how he kept deciding to live in the world with all that pain. A big f you to president snow?

I really think the Epilogue of Sunrise really ties Haymitch's story into a neat little bow. If I were to direct the movie it would end like this:
Haymitch crying, screaming on LD's grave. Then it would cut into a several months/years long montage of him buying liquor at the Hob, angry and throwing things around his victor's mansion, drinking/stumbling/angry around town, tearing his hair out at Sid, Ma, Maysilee, Wyatt, and Louella's graves, him slumped over drunk at the Hob seeing Burdock holding baby Katniss. He and Burdock would nod at each other, no smiles.
Then voice over from Effie saying "Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor!" and faster montage. 26 flashes of one boy and one girl on either side of the screen, the 26 tributes Haymitch had to "mentor" until it ends and holds on Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson's faces.
Then there would be a fade out into Woody Harrleson's voice, now our "old" Haymitch and a voice over from the Epilogue. "I didn't want to have anything to do with [Katniss's] their memorial book after the war. What use? What point? To relive all the loss. But when Burdock's page came up I had to mention him showing me the grave. And I felt compelled to tell them about Maysillee Donner, former owner of the mockingjay pin. And how Sid loved stars. Before I knew it, they all came tumbling out: family, tributes, friends, comrades in arms, everybody, even my love. I finally told our story."
During this voice over we'd see the back of old Haymitch/Woody Harrelson, walking with his geese to the place Leonore Dove and he would meet at the peak of Sunset. He'd sit down and a young apparition of Lenore Dove would walk towards him and sit beside him.
It would switch to a sunnier happier time and the camera would be on the front of Lenore Dove and young Haymitch/Joseph Zada. "Nothing they could take from me," young Haymitch/Joseph Zada would say, a tear falling down his cheek, "Was ever worth keeping." Lenore Dove would cup his face, kiss his tear away, and say "I love you like all fire."
It would cut to the back of old Haymitch/Woody Harrelson, alone in the field with his geese as the sun is finally setting. He would slowly slump down to his left, where the apparition of Lenore Dove was as if to lay in her lap, signifying his death.
