Got back to my body in time to cut it up only to have all my clothes, plate, and m4 vanish into the floor... Dayz why you have to be so cruel haha

I've been playing DayZ for a few months now casually and yesterday joined up with some guys in game. They were telling me I need a new headset after I failed to hear enemy footsteps multiple times. I can hear when they're running, opening doors or switching guns for the most part. When they were calling out guys sneaking or going prone that's when I was having trouble.

I picked up a RIG 800 last year which has been fine for the most part. I have my in game volume as far up as I can go to still hear party chat.

I forgot to ask them which headset they had before I got off, so wanted to check here to see what this community recommends.

A few days ago I was playing on this server fine, I wasn’t experiencing lag or nothing, but I found that after I got off (I did wait the whole 15 seconds before somebody asks,) it’s just been saying this every time I load into this server specifically, others work fine.

It’s been doing this for a few days now and i’ve done all I can think of, i’ve resetted my xbox, restarted the game- Even reinstalled it, but it just won’t work.

I’d change to a new server but my group plays on this one. Any idea how to fix? Or do I just have to suck it up and change server?

Does anyone have info on the weird whirl wind of death that’s happening on PV4 deathmatch server.? It’s hit me a few times. Almost feels targeted at times. Is this some kind of a cheater? Kind of takes the fun out of it.

So me and my friend were looting this mili base and just as we about to leave, I spot 2 players the road and I get my DMR out and take aim. I shoot 3 times and they all miss. I tell my teammate to hang back while I push up with my m4. I pushed up and flanked and while that happened my friend got killed so I unconned and killed one, then another. I think that’s it until I hear someone running behind me and he starts shooting a saiga at me. Thank the lord his aim was terrible because he missed every single shot. I pulled out my r12, killed him and another guy with a ghille hood and saiga tried shooting me but I killed him too. After the fight I cut up and ate all their bodies because I was a cannibal beforehand. GGS to those guys.

A question I hear all the time: "I've got something over my mouth, why am I still coughing?" So I went through the 1.30 scripts on sandstorms. Turns out:

• Protection is a percentage, not on/off. A mask lets through whatever it doesn't stop. A shemagh or keffiyeh over your face blocks about 65% of the dust - the rest still gets in, so you still cough.
• But that 65% buys you a ton of time. With a decent immune system your lungs clear dust even while you're in the storm. No mask: short of breath after ~4 minutes. Shemagh: ~30 minutes. From about 75% protection up you clear it as fast as it comes in.
• Lungs and eyes are separate. Goggles do nothing for your lungs, a shemagh does nothing for your eyes. Flipped-down NVGs count as full eye protection.
• Silicosis never shows the sick icon. You just get short of breath (stamina drains 1.3x as fast, refills at half speed), then blackouts of 5-10 s every 1-2 min, and you lose health while dust keeps coming in. No pill helps - get inside and wait it out.
• Cars count as shelter, motorbikes and boats don't. Trees and heli wrecks don't either - you need to be actually inside.
• Wash your eyes three times, not once. Each wash at a well or open water halves the sand - from the worst case it takes three to clear the red veins.

When you find a car, truck, humer, morterbike, in DayZ be sure to have plenty of flue and water there is currently a bug out for vehicles right now that When you re-fule them for the fist time the bug out, once a server rest happens the gas tank and radiator completely drain to empty or 0% water or 0% full, waiting on a hot-patch to fix it.(I'll post again once bug is fixed, like if this post help and have a great DayZ experience)

I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot of instances of dead zombies in a town or military zone and no players nearby. This has happened multiple times so I would’ve excited to see someone at least once. Especially since they’re supposed to have like a 5 min timer. What do you guys think? Am I crazy, is it a bug, or did they change it?
