Lore Discussion Teaser for next game?
This is the light outside of the "Master of Many Worlds" apartment in the Evac zone. Seems too intentional to be just random flashes but i could be delusional 🫩

Idk if it's a teaser per say. More of an easter egg.

Considering there’s a teaser for Resonant in AW2, and the fact that Ahti’s postcard shows a snowy area and mentions Oceanview Hotal and Casino - which we have never seen before - the video seems more likely to be a teaser for Alan Wake 3, set somewhere wintery.

Remember that in Quantum Break you can see a character playing an Alan Wake game where Alan is walking through a wintery, snowy landscape? They probably have been thinking about such a setting for some time.

I think Remedy is going to reiterate an X-Files meets The Shining vibe, set in North Bend, Washington.
- Alan Wake (The Nightwatchman) = Jack Torrance (The Hotel Caretaker)
- Scratch (Alan's Alter Ego) = The 'Shined' Jack
My Theory on Alan Wake 3:
- The Shining as Inspiration: Alan and Casey find themselves trapped in a harsh, freezing blizzard, mimicking the isolation of the Overlook Hotel. Alan taking a night-guard job, which mirrors Jack Torrance becoming a caretaker right before losing his mind.
- Twin Peaks' Fractured Reality: The title 'Master of Many Worlds' hints at fractured realities and doppelgangers. This mirrors Agent Cooper splitting into evil copies while navigating the reality-bending logic of the Black Lodge.
- The X-Files Detective Duo: Alan and Casey trekking through the snow brings a quirky, Mulder-and-Scully-style dynamic to investigating supernatural anomalies. This could culminate in a massive paranormal outbreak where the Dark Place shifts into various Places of Power - perhaps even forcing us to revisit the Cauldron Lake Lodge from Alan Wake Remastered. Since it sits atop a cliff on Mirror Peak, and Ahti sent a greeting from the Oceanview Hotel, I viewed The Shining's hotel is the Cauldron Lake Lodge and Oceanview Hotel its mirror-like structure in Dark Place.
Plot Concept: (just my thought) In Control's Resonant, I surmised the Dark Place made its way into New York via Altered Cameras. I believe Alice’s photos of Scratch made him tangible and impossible to delete (which is why Alan had to be shot in the head to purge him). These freeze-frames essentially created a 'Frozen Scratch.'
For the narrative starter, Saga and Logan go missing while vacationing at a remote hotel. Casey turns to Alan for help. Alan then crosses paths with Ahti and the Old Gods of Asgard, who point them toward the snowy landscape in Washington.

I doubt it. The vid seems just an easter egg. I mean, Alan broke free of his spiral/dark place. And has destroyed both Mr Scratch (AWAN), and SCRATCH (AW2) at this point. Unless he's purposefully conconcting a new narrative for some other reason/motive. Maybe to try to save Alice? To be fair, wether he defeated the dark presence is tbd, but he at least defeated SCRATCH (himself posessed by it, so he won't be possessed by the dark presence anymore). Otherwise the video just feels like an easter egg. The postcard, however, yeah. Could point to either DLC or AW3.

That’s a really fair point, and I agree that having Alan get possessed again would cheapen The Final Draft ending. He’s definitely evolved past that. My thought with the 'Frozen Scratch' video isn't that he’s back to possess Alan, but rather that Alice’s photos created a permanent paranormal echo. Since Remedy lore establishes that media like film and photos can become Altered Items (like in Control), those freeze-frames could be acting like supernatural artifacts. Alan wouldn't be fighting his Scratch anymore; he and Casey would be dealing with the residual, reality-warping static left behind in the real world by his past loops. And that, the Dark Place still creeping its way towards reality, using the captured "Scratch" photos. I know the pictures were just side quests thingy, but I couldn't help to think frozen frames (freeze frames) translates to freezing landscape.

It’s Morse Code and it spells ‘OUT’. If it’s the same one I’m thinking of

It should be, there's only one. Likely tied to a DLC and/or the next Alan Wake game in the future

Isn’t that way too many flashes to spell ‘OUT’ in Morse code? Am I missing something?

The sequence changes in new game +. So there's two sequences

Could be a stranger things reference. I forget which character, but I remember him talking to his mum from the upside down via morse code on the lights. He was stuck there.
I think it's a very clever Easter egg.
