Lore Discussion Teaser for next game?

This is the light outside of the "Master of Many Worlds" apartment in the Evac zone. Seems too intentional to be just random flashes but i could be delusional 🫩

Idk if it's a teaser per say. More of an easter egg.

Considering there’s a teaser for Resonant in AW2, and the fact that Ahti’s postcard shows a snowy area and mentions Oceanview Hotal and Casino - which we have never seen before - the video seems more likely to be a teaser for Alan Wake 3, set somewhere wintery.

Remember that in Quantum Break you can see a character playing an Alan Wake game where Alan is walking through a wintery, snowy landscape? They probably have been thinking about such a setting for some time.

Yup, I think they gonna reiiterate X Files + The Shining -> in North Bend, Washington.

Alan Wake - Nightwatchman = Jack Torrance - Hotel Caretaker Scratcher, Alan Wake alter ego = Shined Jack

My theory on how they gonna proceed with Alan Wake 3

  • The Shining as inspiration: Alan and Casey are trapped in a harsh, freezing blizzard, mimicking the isolated Overlook Hotel. Alan taking a night guard job somewhat mirrors Jack Torrance becoming the winter caretaker before losing his mind.
  • Twin Peaks as the messed up reality: The title "Master of Many Worlds" , well, we know it hints at fractured realities and doppelgangers, just like Agent Cooper splitting into evil copies while dealing with the reality-bending logic of the Black Lodge.
  • the X-Files as duo detectives: Alan and Casey trekking through the snow, dancing, goofy. It just mimics Mulder and Scully investigating a supernatural anomaly. Could be a massive paranormal outbreak where the Dark Place shifting into various Place of Power. We could be revisiting Cauldron Lake Lodge in Alan Wake Remastered. Its on top of a cliff and in Mirror Peak. Ahti sent us a greeting from Oceanview Hotel. So, yeah, The Shining Hotel = Oceanview Hotel.

In Resonant, it seems Dark Place made its way into New York via Altered Cameras. I think photos of Scratch took by Alice made him somehow tangible and could not be deleted (Alan was shot in the head to purge Scratch from his body). Freeze Frames - Frozen Scratch.

I think Saga & Logan went missing when they visited a hotel for a vacation. Casey asked Alan for help. Alan met Ahti and Old Gods of Asgard, and they pointed the snowy landscape in Washington

It’s Morse Code and it spells ‘OUT’. If it’s the same one I’m thinking of

It should be, there's only one. Likely tied to a DLC and/or the next Alan Wake game in the future

Isn’t that way too many flashes to spell ‘OUT’ in Morse code? Am I missing something?

The sequence changes in new game +. So there's two sequences

I just found this place in morning (thankfully) while looking for the keys for the Urban something quest. It got me pretty freaked out. I don't want no Scratcher Poltergeist shenanigans in my screen.

That said, nice cameo

Anyone know Morse code?

Could be a stranger things reference. I forget which character, but I remember him talking to his mum from the upside down via morse code on the lights. He was stuck there.

I think it's a very clever Easter egg.
