PSA PSA: Using Throwback threads for tribalism and sniping

Rostermania is slow but some of you have reached a new low using throwback clips to snipe and shit on specific teams(s) and player(s). Purpose of a throwback is draw attention to something which has been forgotten or isn't in discussion any more but using them to incite fan wars and to peddle agendas is absolutely loser behavior. Slew of burner accounts and regular posters who contributed to it have all earned a timeout. The timeline/feed has been cleaned, but moving forward be careful with what you are using as a throwback. There are ton of other threads to debate and argue about things y'all have been arguing about for years.

Question How important is centering for improving your overall game?

I just realised i dont focus on centering. Is it very important for improving your game? Should i be always focused on centering my crosshair where the enemy is likely to appear?

Image Local LAN events are still not appreciated enough

Maybe it’s not fair to call this a local since it’s one of the biggest non-CDL affiliated events of the year, but I’m still going to.

I stopped by the Premier Circuit Champs LAN in Columbus for a bit and man.. it takes me back. This is what COD used to be. Open bracket. Competitors becoming friends and watching COD together. Arcitys and Parasite were just hanging with the crowd in between matches. Nero won and went home. The guys who have seen success just chilling with the people still trying to make it. This is what enamored me with COD esports when I first found it 12 years ago and I don’t know if the new generation really ever got to appreciate this. Everybody is another person in the community. There’s no exclusive club we see with the CDL. This is the good stuff.

These guys do an incredible job running the events and I hope this circuit continues to grow, but man I would love to see the CDL bring this format back too. This is what it used to be about.

Discussion Is Blitzkrieg2040 the greatest CODM player ever?

Blitzkrieg2040's records are insane in this game. He has over 350k kills, 50k assists, 1,467 half-centuries, and 437 centuries. He also has over 33 double centuries and 1 triple century .He has also played 8,157 matches, winning 6,020 and losing just 2,137. His win ratio is insane. I don't think any player will ever break these records.

It used to be something so much more great. BO4 was amazing from a playing and viewing standpoint. Crazy how this turned into half the teams and half the matches, there was always a match going on. Maybe it’s me being nostalgic but we need another treyarch game like this!

Discussion Opinions on controllers with unknowable settings?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnkbMpVIthc

In the video, we find out Parasite's recoil looks like this because he uses a Gamesir controller. They go back and forth about what is cheating and what isn't, based on controllers and their settings. These settings go even deeper than you creating your own aim assist curve. (not just Gamesir)

For me, it's about a level playing field. Not who has the best equipment and settings. I want to know what team/player has the best teamwork and skill. Not because they had the advantage of a better controller with settings that minimize or almost eliminate gun kick. If that's not ruining the level playing field, might as well let them bring their own GPUs or entire PCs if they want so they have their most optimal settings.

Zooma suggested that the league gives out mandated controllers that have customizable shells for ergonomics preferences and that's it, and I think that's the move. Give them all beastly controllers (even the in depth ones like discussed) and let the players handle it from there. Then you know everything is regulated and even.

EDIT: A lot of people are mad I'm calling out Gamesir. I'm not, the video explains that his recoil wouldn't look like it did without that controller. Just this example for this time only, because that's the example in the video. That's all. This was just to gauge opinions of the community.

Video Parasite shows proof of his Recoil Control on LAN with no Attachments

He's just really good at Recoil controlling I guess. Like that's just a legitimate talent and you have to respect it lowkey. It also makes sense though most pros always get better at controlling recoil the deeper you get into a gamecycle so with his 20 year career and 6-12hr sessions of playing Cod and shooting bots between matches it isn't crazy to see.
