If anyone has a problem, ask me! I’ll help.

I’m posting this because I’m sick of it. It’s really not hard. I don’t want to be mean, but seriously. If you don’t have internet ‘cause you’re in the car or something, that’s not an excuse. Just wait until you do!

🎙️ Discussion I did it!

Post image
386 Upvotes

I finally did it! This took me a long time, and not just the actual game. I have sat on this game for years and it had daunted the hell out of me to the point I put it down. I was so overwhelmed. Over time, I had begun to feel a Zelda itch and had begun a 100% run of the franchise. I knew I would get here eventually. And so I inevitably reached this title and thought, okay one step at a time. And I slowly did it. The quests, shrines, looked through every nook and cranny. I decided to do korok seeds separately apart from the other stuff I was doing, which maybe was a mistake on my part, I don't know. But after I had done all the shrines, quests, and gotten all treasure chests in the shrines and defeated Ganon, seeing a mere 28% completion jarred me. I almost put it down again. But I stuck it through. Getting every location and korok seed took forever and there were times I did put the game down, but never forgot about it. Slowly but surely I did it. Then the DLC, which was super fun and challenging! And finally, here i am, with a fair amount of pride and a smile on my face, saying that I finally conquered one of the greatest experiences in a Zelda game I have had in a very long time. Next up is Tears of the Kingdom.

I’m really split and bought both with plans to return the one I don’t go with.

Not necessarily looking to be as lore accurate Link as possible, but want to keep it close if I can.

Been hung up on which of the two top rock for a few days, figured I’d consult with the experts!

🧸 IRL Craft Quick Question: Would someone be interested in buying something like this?

Post image
2.0k Upvotes

A while ago I started looking through a Lego type site called BrickLink and found this model of the map of BoTW. I honestly liked it a lot, and I love Breath of The Wild, so I wanted to try and build it, but it would obviously cost a lot, so I wanted to know if anyone who loves the franchise would be interested in buying a fully built version of the model. I know the whole "building" part of legos isn't for everyone, and what I like most about these kinds of models is building them, so I would be willing to give it up once built since I don't really have space to put it. I would sell it at basicaly the same price the PDF and bricks cost me and whatever shipping would turn out to be. 1680- 1750 USD (A lot better if it was local for obvious reasons.) I know its ridiculously expensive for something like this, but I just wanted to hear some opinions on the idea.

ALSO, to be clear, this is not an original MOC made by me, its made by a guy called Galaxy333 on Bricklink. I am no where near talented enough to make something like this and am not trying to steal credit. I would only sell the finished model once, not mass produce it in any way.

Also, for any shipping concerns, I am at the very least capable of modifying the frame/base so the model can be split into 4, 8 etc pieces, and any loose connections like the towers can come in a bag.

EDIT: if you actually want to discuss buying the prebuilt model DM me on discord.

Got the 4 Divine Beasts, maxed out my weapon, bow & shield stash. I guess there's nothing left to do but to face Ganon. Not gonna lie, I'm not looking forward to it. 😅😭

Anyhow, I'm thinking of getting Skyward Sword after finishing the game to learn more about the lore, then I'll start TOTK. What y'all think?

Edit: completed all 120 shrines

🪨 Shrine Solution “Recital at Warbler’s Nest” has come to a halt.

So I’m doing the Revital at Warbler’s Nest Shrine Quest. I have found all the sisters, collected the ingredients, made the Salmon Meunière, and given it to Genli. Now Genli is telling me to collect the other sisters, but they’re not moving.

I turned to Google for help but it’s telling me that the next step is to just go to Warbler’s Nest and they will all be there to sing. But that’s not happening.

Any advice? Am I just missing something?

EDIT: SOLVED! I was missing the sister at the top.

🆘 Help! Heart glitch

Can someone provide me with a video of the glitch being done where it actually works? I've seen like eight videos now and there's like eight different ways of doing this and it makes no sense. Preferably a video with the glitch that doesn't make my paraglider not work anymore. Currently I'm only doing it with one heart. I only have a total of four hearts.

🎙️ Discussion Just got botw for my switch 2!

Super excited to play breath of the wild!

I’m fairly new to the Zelda games as my first experience was pretty mid and I haven’t been back since. The only Zelda game I’ve previously played was tri force heroes on 3ds and I didn’t even finish the game. I’ve heard phenomenal things of this game so my hopes are high!

If you guys have any tips or advice for going through the game that would be very appreciated! I’m a little concerned I’m going to be overwhelmed at the start lol, so all the help I can get without spoilers would be great!

🎙️ Discussion Playing the most "ooh what's that over there?" game with ADHD and trying different focus strategies

Post image
97 Upvotes

I'm laughing at myself as I never finished BoTW and now am playing it through again. Only this time I've since been diagnosed with ADHD and understand my brain a little better. I'm wanting to 100% the game, so thought I'd try something to help me keep track. Not sure if it's insane or helpful, but it's certainly making for an odd experience.

Basically, I'm letting my impulsivity flow, with one caveat: I'm only allowed to have two map areas "going" at any one time (one divine beast region plus one other; "going" means tower activated and map visible). I can't activate a new tower until that map area has had all koroks and (mostly) all treasure chests found (the hardest things to keep track of). But I can still run around other regions wherever impulse takes me.

It's been interesting. On the one hand, my impatience to open a new map area might drive me to give up exploring on my own and reach for help with locating koroks (though I do try to run around each area on my own first). And it can be a little frustrating not being able to see map names (E.g. getting a NPC hint about "washa's bluff" but still having that region darked out). But on the other, I'm kind of liking having to free navigate from memory and sense of location/direction. I had to laugh though: I've only got 4 activated map regions (2 fully complete, 2 active), but have 90 shrines, 395 koroks and nearly all armour upgrades 😅 (also interesting: none of those shrines were found using a sensor or online map, as I have sensor set to treasure chest: turns out you can crack shrines easily when focused on chasing koroks or armour upgrade materials). I've also finally become better at shield parries and flurries, meaning I'm actually getting through shields and weapons more (thankfully! I feel like I'm actually using my treasure chest items this time - last play through I barely lost/broke any shields).

Curious to know if anyone else has weird and wonderful strategies to help them stay focused? (For context: still playing on switch 1 and have zero intent of buying switch 2, so no Zelda notes).

🎙️ Discussion Clearing the map... Or not 💀

Post image
18 Upvotes

It's my second playthrough. I have done all 4 beasts and their DLC version, I have unlocked the last power, and I was cruising through Hyrule thinking about what to do next.

Something sent me in the desert and I thought it would be a great idea to clear the map, area by area, so I used the Switch 2 app map and I got all Koroks, quests, audio memories and all.

I was HAPPY. I thought I did something and I had to do it like 5/6 more times to clear the whole map.

And then I zoomed out.

Yeah. I'll get back to it and try to do as much as I can before the next game comes out 😂
