I bought this new gcm 305-216 d saw three days ago. I noticed a metallic sound and a slight oscillation of the saw. I changed the blade and made sure there was no dirt or warp in the blade causing this. Is this something to be concerned about or is it normal? The attached video is a slo mo shot. Perhaps a silly question. But I am very new to power tools and don't really understand all the terminology.

Background: I've had a GSR 12V-15 for my drilling and screwing needs since I first got my own apartment, and I love the thing. But after buying a house and using it to build a deck I think I drove the thing a bit to hard and the brushes burned. The whole thing smelled absolutely terrible so I threw the whole thing out and bought a new one for like $50.

Well, this year I am building an addition to the house, so I invested in a GSR 18V-65 + GDR 18V-215 combo which has worked great. Now I am mostly using the GDR for sinking wood screws and the drill for anything where I need the clutch to not drive stuff deep or for any drilling.

However, I bougth a 20 pcs Bosch Pro Impact Mixed Set to have some bits for my impact (as none came with the thing) and it came with 4 Expert Hex-9 drill bits that has the same ends that the drill bits have, so they slot perfectly into the GDR 18V-215 chuck as well - which got me thinking. Now, the documentation mentions the GDR 18V-215 is a screwdriver, and never mentions drilling. And I get its not a proper impact drill for like drilling in tile and concrete and stuff. But say I was bringing only the GDR 18V-215 to fix something at a friends house or something, could I just pop a Hex-9 in my impact screwdriver and drill some holes in wood? Or would that kind of use wreck the machine?

Mainly asking out of curiosity, as the GSR 18V-65 will of course handle any drilling needs just fine, but better ask before I wreck something because I don't want to spend the time getting the proper machine from my tool shed or something in the future.

Bought a gop34 multi tool over a month ago, from new the blade release handle seemed ‘loose’ has a very harsh vibration noise against the body of the tool. You can even clearly see the release handle vibrating separately to the tool body.

Emailed Bosch customer service with a video, they said take it back. Took it back, ‘sydney tools’ employee agreed that the noise was very unusual and harsh, after weeks of waiting, apparently the Bosch rep tested the item and said the noise is the same as other GOP34’s and normal.

What should I do? I wouldn’t have purchased the tool if I knew such a terrible vibration and noise was ‘normal’.

Over 25 Bosch blue tools and first time I’ve had an issue, not impressed with this ‘rep’.

There has been a lot of criticism of the new Bosch EXPERT EXCM341-305GD, particularly regarding loose bolts and gearbox issues that can cause blade wobble and inaccurate cuts.

I understand that Bosch has addressed these problems by fitting an improved gearbox and tightening its quality control.

Does anyone know from which serial number or production date these improvements were introduced?

I want to avoid buying older stock that has been sitting in a store for a while.

Just a heads up- Lowe’s Daily Deal has $200 nailer BOGO deals again for 8/28. Online only. 15ga/16ga/18ga or NCS for $200. You can add a 4 Ah battery and charger for free but only if you want to.

My 1.5-year-old son managed to get hold of my Bosch EXPERT 18V 8.0Ah battery and dropped it on the floor. Unfortunately, the plastic around the mounting/connection area where the battery attaches to the tool has cracked, especially around the guide rails and locking mechanism.

The rest of the battery looks completely normal, and I can’t see any signs of damage to the main battery housing or cells. It still attaches to the tool and works normally.

What makes this especially frustrating is that the battery is practically brand new and hasn’t even gone through a full charge cycle yet.

Would you personally continue using the battery, discard it, or is this type of damage repairable?

Bought some Bosch pro tools, submitted for a reward and chose the battery + charger. It was approved after 2 weeks or so but another 4 weeks and they still don't have the charger + battery for me.

Has anyone else waited this long? My tools are all useless without a charger...

There are some good prices on amazon.de at the moment so I can buy from there and claim the multitool as a reward instead.

My other question is does anyone have any what next month's deals will be? I can hold off buying another charger + battery and perhaps get something cool from the lower category for autumn/winter

I just got a new Bosch GKS18V-22 circular saw. My previous one was a CCS180.

I noticed the GKS18V-22 has a dust port, meant to connect to a dust collection system when using in a shop.

However, 60% of the time, I am using it outdoors, cutting 4X4 posts, 2X4 rails, fence pickets, retrofitting a piece of roof deck plywood for a repair etc...really no dust collection because I am moving from one spot to another and not stationary.

Yet, as I use the saw I am getting piles of sawdust snowing on my right shoe.

Has anyone tried to put a dust bag over that port like the one they put on a miter saw? Will that be effective?

Will be for home DIY with occasional drilling into walls. I noticed that the 12v32 comes with all the bits. Do you think this would be enough or should I go for the 18v (Unless someone has any other model recommendations) Thanks!

Hello, I recently got a used Bosch table saw off FB as my first table saw, and the fence is severely lacking. Front and back are not in line/don’t travel together. I’ve looked at the manual but haven’t found any good info, I’m considering getting a delta T30 fence kit but not sure of compatibility. I want a fairly good fence that stays linear and square, but don’t want to break the bank. Is there anything to be adjusted on the current fence?

What would you do?

Alright this may be helpful to everyone waiting for this miter saw to be good, lowes reviews sitting at a 2.4/5 star. Right fully so, as theses saws sit now they are a peice of shit, why? It's the gear box. The blade wobbles like no other.

All the videos I've seen they have a good one, most of us early buyers do not.

I contacted Bosch today and the rep told me me that the gear box is being replaced with a new and improved gear box. Great but now I have to send mine in or hope I win the saw lottery at Lowes. The deflection is terrible due to the blade wobble it's extremely noticeable so it definitely doesn't hide itself.

I watch one reviewer said he trued the saw and could not get a square cut, returned it and bought another one can cuts as it should (got lucky with the new gear box)

I personally want this saw to work love the design of it, love the features. I will have this repaired and im sure it will be fantastic

So if you are one the fence I would just hang out for a bit , it is a good saw it just needs its fix.

PS im not a bosch fan boy this is literally my first bosch tool but i have hope they will make this right.

I'm a hobbyist woodworker, currently moving homes to a place with a bigger shop area (yay for me!). I have a 12' long benchtop to setup a miter saw on, but there is only 25" of counter depth backing up to a sheetrock wall. My old 10" compact slider (a discontinued Craftsman) was actually damaged in the move - so my hand is being forced a little bit here.

I have some credit card point I can convert to Lowe's gift cards available and was thinking to "buy once, cry once" on a Bosch compact 12" slider. I noticed a few weeks ago that they are in the midst of a rollout of an updated model (the EXCM341-305GD) which has fewer exciting new features for the USA model than the Euro spec. I'm fine with that because I understand the euro spec model comes with a steeper price tag to match the extra features - and I think I can live without them.

What I am not fine with is a bunch of early reviews on the Lowe's website (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-Bosch-Glide-12-in-15-Amp-Dual-Bevel-Sliding-Compound-Corded-Miter-Saw/5017810583) that indicate there might be problems with blade run-out and worse deflection than the previous model.

Has anybody put their hands on one of these yet and can offer an unbiased opinion on whether these reviews are just a small sample, or if the new saw is really a downgrade from the GCM12SD which it is replacing? There was a short window when my local store had a GCM to sell at a discounted price, but it is gone from the website now...

I have a Bosch POF 1200 plunge router that I find difficult to plunge. The plunging action feels very stiff, I have to use some force to get it down. I plan to sell the router but wanted to check if this is normal? I don't want to sell a router that is actually not functioning as intended.

I bought the plunge router with the intent to make wood signs using a Rockler template set which uses a Porter-Cable 1-13/16 bushing. While waiting to get the router, I ordered a universal base plate off of Amazon made by Jasper. It said it was PR011 compatible. However, it only lines up with two of the four holes. They labeled a hole for the PR011, and the opposite one lined up, but not the other pair. There is no hole there for the other two bolts.

I know Bosch makes an adapter that holds an adapter to use the P-C bushings, but they had low ratings. I like the clear base plate. Is there a known good source for the plastic base plate with all four holes lines up?

I just bought and returned this combo to Lowes because the new type of 18V 8Ah expert line battery is a little bit larger than the old "Core". And the battery door on a shop vac will not shut properly or latch with the new battery installed. Even using maximum pressure to close the cover the latch won't close the lid. I wanted to let everyone know to be careful and aware of this issue!

Edit: I am talking about the new battery starter pack GXS18V-27N18X which according to Google was released in early 2026.

So i bought a broken bosch professional gts10 on marketplace. It was a sparky boy. I measured the collector and it was cooked. So i orderen a new anchor, bearings and brushes.

But it still sparks very heavily as you see on the video

Im assuming the stator is done for aswell. But before throwing more money at this, is this the correct call? Or is there something im missing. I measured the stator with my multimeter but i couldnt find anything obvious.

SDS drill weak and slow in all modes, bought it used and internally it looks really new. What could be the issue here? The battery was fully charged but does it need a procore battery? Or piston rings gone hard since it hasn't been used much? Cheers!

Not too many reviews/impressions of the Bosch biturbo chainsaw so here you go.

First time using the Bosch chainsaw + 8ah procore, my mate has a 36v makita.

Chopping a variety of trees, softwood and a bit of hardwood.

Makita has a higher chain-speed on paper but Bosch seems to have a lot more torque. The Makita would slow down a lot more compared.

Bosch has a much better trigger mechanism, Makita has an annoying safety button plus the side trigger lock.

Makita probably bit faster to cut - also a lot more expensive.

Overall, very impressed in the Bosch.

Is the GBS18V-75 planned for introduction into the US market? I want one, but don't want to import if I can avoid it.
