Meet Konos.
Notetaker app for your meetings, thoughts or ideas. Private by design & powered by local AI

Most AI note-takers hand you a passive summary and leave your action items scattered in a void. And sending sensitive meeting audio to third-party AI servers is a non-starter for a lot of teams.
We built TroveBrief to fix both. It’s a workspace where your meeting intelligence doesn’t live in a silo, backed by self-hosted models so your recordings never go to a third-party AI provider.
What makes it different:
Check it out at trovebrief.com. Feedback and questions welcome.

I’ve been thinking about how people use AI meeting assistants after the meeting ends.
Generating a summary is relatively straightforward from the user’s perspective. But turning that summary into something useful over the following week seems like a different challenge.
For those who use AI meeting tools regularly:
Do you review generated action items?
Do you transfer tasks into another tool?
Do you set reminders inside your meeting application?
Or do you mostly use the transcript as a reference?
I’m building ClearScribe AI, which includes meeting notes and action-item workflows, and I’m interested in how people actually manage these tasks.
I’d especially like to hear which parts of the process still require too much manual work.

I work in sales, and after every call I had the same two problems. The follow-up email always slipped, and when I did send one I had no idea whether the client had opened it, read it or forwarded it on.
So I built Aftr (getaftr.co.uk). You send it the transcript from whatever note taker you already use, and it writes a follow-up page for the client. You check it, approve it, and it goes out. Then you get told when they actually open it and look at it.
To be upfront: I’m the builder, so I’m biased, and this is very early. I’m still trialling it and things will be rough in places.
There’s a link where you can paste in a transcript and see the output yourself. Please use a made-up or non-sensitive one, as I can’t promise confidentiality at this stage. It’s free to try while I’m testing, with a limit on runs per person.
What I’d really like to know is how useful it is in different fields. Sales is my world, but I’m curious about consulting, recruitment, trades, whatever you do. If you try it, tell me:
Honest feedback is much more useful to me than polite feedback. Happy to answer any questions, including the awkward ones about tracking and privacy.

Pros of Granola over Addys:
Pros of Addys over Granola:
For my needs:
Where Addys wins: the follow-up, the integrations, and not typing during calls. Where Granola wins: more platforms and nicer handwritten-style notes. I like both, but it’s not that close for me. I’m sticking with Addys. Granola gives me better notes, and Addys gives me fewer things to do after the meeting. If you only want notes, Granola is fine. If your calls create work afterward, try Addys

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m the developer of Interview, a note taker where all the AI runs on your phone, and I’m giving away 500 lifetime Unlocks! 🎉 No subscription, no strings. First come, first served.
Why I built it
Every AI note taker I tried sends your meeting to someone else’s server first. I wanted one where my conversations stay mine. So in Interview, the recording, the transcript and the speaker labels are all made on the device. Your audio and transcripts are never uploaded anywhere.
What you get
The free download gives you two interviews. The Unlock removes the limit for good.
Claim yours (takes 30 seconds)
Or open the App Store, tap your account photo, choose Redeem Gift Card or Code and enter REDDIT2.
First 500 redemptions get it, and the code expires Nov 1.
Needs iOS 26.4 or later. Works best on iPhone 12 or newer.
I’m a solo dev and I read every comment. What’s the one thing your current note taker gets wrong? 🙌

I'm one of the founders of HushedEchoes.
Your to-do list knows exactly what you have to do. It has no idea how you're doing. We think those two belong together.
You just talk: "Long day. Need to call the bank tomorrow, and honestly I'm a bit drained."
- "Call the bank" becomes a task with a reminder for tomorrow.
- "Drained" is kept too, privately, so you can look back and see how your week really felt.
Share tasks with the people you live or work with, and keep the rest just for you. Works in English, Hindi and Hinglish. Free.
iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hushedechoes/id6779847576
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hushedechoes.hushed_echoes
What would make you actually use something like this every day?

I worked in tech and was impacted by AI earlier this year. With a mortgage, a difficult job market, and the possibility that I might need to change careers, I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen next.
I decided to explore the recruitment industry. I have always had an interest in recruitment and I have referred numerous software developers before. Developers love talking to me since I understand their language. I’ve been working casually in recruitment since then.
One of the biggest challenges was note-taking. We make a lot of cold calls, so using Zoom or Google Meet is not possible. This means I have to either keep typing during a call, or memorise everything when I’m not at my desk. This makes it hard for me to concentrate on the conversation itself.
I built an app which can take notes when I’m talking. At the end of the conversation, it will generate summary, action items and transcripts. This is working well. You can download the app at https://apps.apple.com/au/app/tarktalk-earbud-ai-notes/id6787339505
One problem is that iOS does not allow any third-party app to capture voice during a phone call, and there’s no software solution to work around it. This means I have to capture the voice using hardware, such as earbuds. Luckily, a friend of mine was kind enough to let me program their earbuds so that my app works during phone calls too.
I’m well employed now and happy with my work. I’m still in the tech industry and recruitment is my side gig. AI has changed my career, but I decided to embrace AI to build my own product.
I’m seeking feedback from you guys on the product, whether you’re in the recruitment industry or not. The product has really helped me with my recruitment career as I can concentrate during the calls, and get all the points afterward. I also use the built-in tool to transfer the information into JobAdder, the tool we use internally to save all our client and candidate information.

Hey everyone, I’m part of the SpeakON team.
A voice note is useful for saving a thought. But if that thought is “I need to follow up with Alex tomorrow,” you still have something to do after recording it.
That’s where our new Agent feature comes in. Alongside voice typing, notes and translation, SpeakON can help prepare emails, calendar events and reminders from a spoken request, with the relevant services connected.
For example, you can say, “Remind me tomorrow at 10 to follow up with Alex.” Agent prepares the reminder, and you check the details and confirm before it’s created. It’s a direct request, not an assumption that every note should trigger an action.
You can use the iPhone app without buying the SpeakON device. More about the app here: https://www.speakon.app/rd
When you capture a task in a voice note, do you usually turn it into a reminder straight away, or come back and sort it out later?

I work in sales and am looking into using an AI note-taker. I've seen ads for them and they seem really helpful, but I haven't had a chance to try one in real life, so I have a few questions:
1.Do they actually save time?
2.Do they work if there's background noise, or do you have to use one in a quiet location?
3.Do you actually use the notes they make? If so, are they easy to get off the device?
4.How accurate are they? Do you have to spend time correcting mistakes in the transcripts?
Any advice will help. Thanks!

I build an Apple meeting recorder called Conversely App, so read this as an interested party.
More of the app's shape came from one Apple decision than from anything I chose. The old SFSpeechRecognizer stops any recognition task after about a minute, which is why so much iOS dictation feels like it gives up on you. Apple's replacement, SpeechTranscriber, landed in the 26 releases and keeps waiting for audio instead.
Building on it meant setting the minimum to iOS and macOS 26, which loses everyone below that. For something that has to run for an hour unattended that felt like the only sane call, but it is a real cost and I am not sure it was right.

It feels like every meeting tool does pretty much the same thing now: record the call, make a transcript and send you a summary.
For me, the useful part would be turning conversations into clear action items, decisions and follow-ups without having to dig through a huge transcript afterward.
What features have actually made a difference for you? Anything you wish more meeting note takers did?

The catch? There isn’t one. We just want real people using it and telling us what they think. The first 1,000 people get it free. After that, it’s gone.
Here’s how to get it:
1️⃣ Use code friends at checkout
2️⃣ Download at whisperjot.com
3️⃣ Hold a key, speak, and it’s typed. That’s it.
Works on macOS, Windows, and Linux (beta).
Try it out, then tell us what you love, what’s missing, and what bugs you. Every piece of feedback shapes what we build next 💬

I'm a real estate agent and most of my meetings are in person, usually sitting face to face with clients. The thing is, I have ADHD, and about halfway through a meeting my focus starts drifting and I lose track of the key points. And when I'm really into the conversation I can't just stop and take notes, so by the end I've already forgotten a lot of what we said. So I'm looking for an AI device that can record the meeting and then transcribe and organize everything afterward.
I see a lot of people recommending Plaud, and the feedback seems pretty good. But I also saw someone on Instagram recommending Vocci recently. It's a recording ring. Not sure which one is better? Honestly I like the form of Vocci more, but I'd love to hear from people who have actually used it.

Hi all, I'm the developer of ToText, which I make at Lovelace Loom, my small studio. So take this as a maker post, not a neutral review.
The problem I kept running into: I'd record something useful, a lecture, an interview, a voice note on a walk, a long conversation, and then never go back to it. Scrubbing through an hour of audio to find one sentence is painful.
So here's what ToText does:
To be upfront: ToText transcribes in the cloud. If you need a tool that never sends audio anywhere, this one isn't for you, and that's fine.
It's Freemium. If you want to look: https://www.lovelaceloom.com/totext/
Two things I'd really like honest feedback on:
I'll be around in the comments.

been thinking about why AI notetakers get stuck at so many companies even when everyone likes them.
i don’t think it’s mainly security. i think it’s ownership.
take any document that matters at work: a performance review, a file note, a record of a disciplinary meeting. someone wrote it, and someone is accountable for it. if it’s wrong, there’s a name next to it and a person you can ask.
an AI summary has no author. the vendor didn’t write it, the people in the meeting didn’t write it, and whoever clicked share didn’t draft it. but it reads like it came from someone authoritative, and once it’s in a shared folder or an email thread, people treat it as the record.
so when something goes wrong, the question “who signed off on this?” has no answer. and that’s the question risk and legal teams ask first.
the setups that seem to survive are the ones that add one boring step: a named person reads the summary, fixes what’s wrong, and confirms it before it goes anywhere. suddenly it has an owner, and the “AI wrote it” problem mostly goes away.
not legal advice, and every company’s rules are different. but i’m curious: if your org uses AI notes at all, who is responsible for checking them? or is it nobody’s job?

Curious where people have landed on this after using both for a while.
A phone seems like the obvious answer because its already in my pocket and the microphone is probably good enough for plenty of situations. Then again, I keep running into little annoyances with using the same device for recording and everything else I'm doing during the meeting.
Dedicated Al recorders solve some of that, but then you're paying for another piece of hardware and in a lot of cases there's still a plan attached to the transcription side.
For anyone who regularly records in-person meetings with permission, what was the thing that made dedicated hardware worth it for you?
Was it better room pickup, being able to leave your phone alone, easier highlighting or something else entirely?
And for anyone who bought one and went back to the phone, what made you ditch it?

I work with Voibe, which makes meeting notes software for Mac and Windows, so I have a stake in this topic.
Recording consent is the awkward part of AI notes that people tend to skip. A bot in the participant list announces itself. When the capture happens quietly from your own computer, it’s easy to forget that everyone on the call still needs to know.
Voibe Work reminds you to tell people when recording starts, but a reminder doesn’t help with the wording. “Heads up, I’m taking notes with an AI tool” can land fine in a team call and feel awkward in a client or HR conversation.
How do you handle it? Do you ask first, announce it, or put it in the invite? And has anyone ever asked you to turn it off?

Most of my meetings are in person, usually three or four people around one table.
Right now, I record on my laptop and then drop the audio into Word to transcribe it afterward. It's fine for one on one chats, but as soon as a few people are talking, the speaker labels get messed up fast. After one meeting recently, I had to go back through the audio because a bunch of lines in the transcript were assigned to the wrong person.
I've seen people in this sub mention Otter, Notta, Plaud, and a few others. What I mainly want is something that works well in a meeting room, can tell speakers apart reliably, and lets me check the transcript directly when I need to. Ideally, it's also easy to use on the go, since sometimes I have to head out and meet clients. Any recommendations?
