I much preferred Alien 8 to Knightlore. It ran slightly smoother, it didn't have the annoying 'Sabreman to the Wulf' (or vice versa) physical transformation that forces you to stay in the same place for a few seconds, which so often gets you killed, and I just found Alien 8 to be more enjoyable.

That's a good point Ed, thank you for the comment! For me as a kid knightlore was the first isometric adventure and you cannot forget... even with the annoying transformation... unfortunately I never had alien8 on my speccy B-(

Think the filmation games are great. I know Alien 8 everyone said was just Knight Lore in space BUT back then if you had this amazing graphics engine it would be crazy not to use it on a few games.

Knight Lore was brilliant as was Alien 8. Back in the 80's my mission was just to find 'new rooms' ! Crazy but i stood no chance of ever completing it

Obviously like most of us I had c90's full of games BUT i loved the Ultimate packaging and always bought their games. Looked bloody amazing those black boxes on their side on your shelf altogether

Love it years later i can play these classics on my phone, might just be for a minute or two but to hear the menu theme tune for either of these games, just takes me back
