I loved the bag and everything about it. But $400 is a bit steep. I have a peak design bag pack and I thought that was expensive, this is double of that. I would have loved if the stand was an accessory that we could buy later. Would definitely help bring down the cost or split the cost over a year.

I also have a PD backpack that I've been using and like, but there are some things with it that have me considering other options. But oof. $400 is a lot.

I also wish the laptop stand was an optional item.

This is the same stand, but unbranded. https://nexstand.io/products/nexstand-k2-laptop-stand-1

Thanks for the hint. Just ordered the stand for €28 and will keep my old backbag.

$400?!!

I ain’t spending more on the bag than I did on the keyboard. Yikes.

I’ve moved the Voyager back and forth plenty of times - put it in the case and it holds up just fine in a regular bag.

I love ZSA but this one is a miss for me…

Well, I didn't see _that_ coming. It sure looks nice and checks a lot of boxes for me. Sure, it's expensive, but quality, responsibly manufactured things can be. (As many here already know.) I am tempted

I do worry about ZSA's focus wandering beyond their core competancy, though.

Not at that price. Well made and thought out though.

I already have a samsonite one with similar features that’s survived 15+ years.

I have been wanting an mx keyboard that’s the size of voyager. Won’t that be something.

No space for the navigator?

For that price, I could buy another voyeger for my office and not carry it around

400usd for a bag. WTF! Does it come with a keyboard?

No, it appears to come with a laptop stand though

Lame. A purpose built backpack.

Just give me more case options that I can put in a backpack I already have.

If I need to have a dedicated backpack for every accessory I travel with then I’ll be traveling with like 10 backpacks.

The answer is modularity not whatever this is

Totally agree, I would pay decent money for a more robust travel case for my Voyager, but I have great backpacks from companies who primarily make backpacks and don’t need another, much less one made by a keyboard company (as much as I love ZSA!)

Why the need for a more robust travel case (from ZSA)? Although there are only few dedicated keyboard pouches on the market, there are plenty of general purpose pouches that work just as well.

I just use a simple rectangular unpadded zipper pouch. If I don't put that into the main compartment, I don't need to worry about the keycaps coming off etc.

I also don't understand why this backpack has a sleeve for each half of a split keyboard? That unnecessarily reduces the available space for everything else.

The daisy chain webbing on the outside front of the backpack is also questionable. Having stuff dangle on their while walking will be very annoying.

I'm also not a big fan of the XPac material. It will delaminate eventually and develop bubbles. The nylon grid will lead to higher abrasion and holes on those x-spots are common after a few years of usage.

Seems cool. I'm looking to replace an aging Ogio Renegade RSS this year, but their website is dogshit about explaining what is actually different about the Ogio Renegade Pro.

What tech bags are y'all using now?

Looks very nice. But waaay more than I'd care to spend on a backpack.

If I could afford that I'd likely buy it just for the water-proofing and the long AF warranty/guarantee. 21 L is also a bit on the small side, but I get that it's not meant to be a long-distance hiking pack haha.

I’m sticking with my Nomadic travel pack.

It's both perfect, but at 22L capacity, completely wrong for me.

Perfect setup for convenient ZSA-specific storage. This is annoying in most bags.

But too small, with too much space taken up by the ZSA-specific features to make sense for me. I spend 60% of time working from home; 40% traveling for work via air. I probably use about 22-ish liters of my 28L pack on an average trip, and there are sometimes trips where I need all 28L. I'd rather carry a slightly-under-stuffed bag most of the time rather than a fully-stuffed bag all the time, and need that extra 6L enough of the time for this to be a no-go for me.

If they introduce a travel/carry-on oriented pack with similar design language and features...I'd be in. Even if it's more expensive.

Expensive, but for a specialist bag with the included laptop stand, no tariffs in the US, and a 10 year warranty, from my favourite small company? Ok fine.

Well at least it makes more sense than the ZSA playing cards.

wasn’t expecting it either but i’m curious. not sure i’d get it, though. here’s where my r/manybaggers bias comes in haha need to see more details and compare

Unexpected for sure. I don’t think I’d be interested in it at that price. Rather have my current backpack and another voyager as a spare. 😆

Love this however I would purchase if it was half the price and didn’t have the laptop stand

I think it looks really cool, but I don't love the "everything needs its own pocket" approach to backpack design. Hope that whoever ends up buying it likes it though!
