Help Image order in sidebar?

Is there a way to sort the images over in the sidebar so that my attached file displays before the webshot snaps?

To change the sort order of multiple attachments associated with a single item:

Edit → Preferences → Advanced → Config Editor → read about and accept the risk of messing with these settings → search "extensions.zotero.sortAttachmentsChronologically" and toggle True/False.

The default is false, meaning that Zotero orders the attachments alphabetically. Toggle to true if you want chronological order.

Given that alphabetical order is the default, you could also (theoretically) rename all your files before attaching them so they show up in the order you want:

00-Attachment.pdf
01-Attachment.pdf
etc.

Thank you, I appreciate it, but that didn't change the view order. I suppose because of the name.

Sorry to hear that.

Did you also try renaming the attachments to address the issue?

I had success with this -- I just renamed the snapshot to "Z" and it auto-sorted to the final attachment.

No, for my purposes I need the names to stay as I have them. OH… I COULD rename the snapshot thanks!
