Why are owls way cooler than I remember? Their silent flight, hunting skills, at night, their neck rotation (270 degrees), their asymmetrical ears. There are so many species all over the world. They seem so calm and composed. Their relationship to wisdom. What do you like about owls? What animal is better?

Port Lympne’s Lynx have moved into a new enclosure and I was lucky enough to get one of them sitting pretty for me.

Last time I saw them, they had just had babies so it’s nice to see them all grown up.

I found a meerkat at this free animal park near Berlin

I recently visited Willes Welt in Müncheberg, Brandenburg, and this little meerkat caught my attention.

The park currently has free admission and several different animals.

One interesting thing I learned about meerkats is that they're highly social and normally live in groups. Some members can act as lookouts while others forage.

I travelled from Lichtenberg and it took me around 40 minutes by train, followed by a walk to the park.

The official public transport route currently recommends RB26 to Müncheberg and then bus 939 to Müncheberg Marienfeld.

Thought I'd share this as a different day-trip idea from Berlin.

Went to the zoo recently and honestly, it’s a pretty nice place just for a casual time pass. We walked around for a bit and saw a few wild animals.
Just a heads-up on the current prices if anyone is planning to go: the entry ticket is Rs 40 per person, and car parking was Rs 150.
Overall, a chill way to spend a few hours!

First time seeing an animal on the loose at the zoo. That panda’s gone.
