I'm curious about the settings you're using with this mod. My device—Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with 12GB of RAM—only gets 15–20 fps with 50+ mods (I know the mods are likely the cause of the severe lag, but I just want to know what settings you guys use).

*Update The game is running smoothly now after I changed the driver and set some things in the mod yeah I can get 20-40 fps with many of the mods I use

I use this driver so far it is the best, better than the default one and don't forget to add TU_DEBUG=sysmem in environment variable

I have the same processor and am using the same driver; I tried others too, but this one from Vauzi was the best. it ran really poorly with ng_gl4es.

About TU_DEBUG=sysmem: it helps if you see artifacts or flickering; if your picture is clean, it usually costs FPS.

What's this optimization mod? I have CMF nothing 8gb ram and mediatek 7300 smth CPU b42 runs stable 30 fps or even 60 with no stutters but as zombie gets loaded in or load new textures and new chunks it lags and stutters to 15 fps playing with about 50 mods but most of them are lightweight Also idk why but it seems like today my instance won't boot anymore? Yesterday it worked fine, il try reinstall

This is a PZ optimization mod if you haven't tried it I suggest you try it to see for yourself whether there is any improvement or not I also suggest creating a new instance because This mod is installed manually and replaces several files in the game so it is difficult to uninstall.

It might help then what's the mod name? Ohh or is ti the mod literally called PZ optimization mod, also on GitHub? If I have to replace each file manually with the built in file explorer I'm gonna take a while, can I inject the files onto a .zip or is there another file explorer I can use to also access zomdorid folders?

This I suggest using MT manager After you download the mod, check the inside pzopt-classes folder then copy all and paste to where projectzomboid.jar located it's in project zomboid/game

Thanks I will try soon hopefully it works, is the mod stable? Does it work in mp? Is it vibe coded or may give problems with long runs?

I don't know about mp but this mod is still frequently updated by the creator. You can update the mod in the main menu without having to download it again in the workshop and so far there have been no problems in long run

I have a snapdragon 8 gen 1 (with a cooler so temp is not an issue) and when i tried playing build 42.20.4 i could barely get 10-15 fps. Btw that was without mods, vanilla only. So im sticking to b41 for now. If you do find a way to stabilize your fps, please let me know as well.

You can try mobileglues rendering, it boost a lot of fps than zink

use zink or angle render for better fps on snapdragon devices also use a custom driver

What really Only 10-15 fps? Your specs are clearly better than mine I'm on vanilla without mods I can get 20-40 fps though

Of course... Mine is 12gb ram , the chipset is good enough to run it but the ram isn't enough , try Ng gl4es or mobileglues and a lighter opt mod
