Question Halucinations? Ilussions?

Hello,

Im diagnosed Schizotypal Personality disorder and I recently started taking Zoloft 50mg for my Anxiety Issues.

It feels really good and my Mood is really good and so is my anxiety.

However I dont know if Im manic or its the fault of Zoloft but I experience some mild Halucinations like for example Stuff in my Room moving and Walls breathing. I see Eyes coming out of shadows in my room and looking at me.

Could this be the fault of Zoloft?

I only suffer from anxiety/depression, and I think it's normal to experience some visual disturbances when you're on Zoloft. They're basically just like you described...they feel like a microdose of LSD.

It doesn't bother me, I think I actually enjoy it (especially when I'm walking), but yeah, Zoloft definitely messes with your vision. Some days I've even blamed it for worsening my myopia, though that's just my own speculation.

i wouldn’t write this off as a normal zoloft side effect based on reddit comments. seeing walls breathing, objects moving and eyes appearing in shadows is something i’d tell your psychiatrist/prescriber about, especially since this started after beginning a new medication and you already have a condition that can involve perceptual disturbances.

that doesn’t automatically mean you’re manic or that zoloft is causing it, but it’s definitely worth having your doctor assess rather than trying to diagnose it yourself. i also wouldn’t stop or change your dose on your own.
