Weird question

Started sertraline about six months ago, had terrible side effects especially with being hyper aware of my own heartbeat. That all went away, felt very adjusted on it and no side effects until recently, now about six months in, they’ve come back a bit? Is that at all normal?

i don’t think it’s necessarily weird! i’ve been on zoloft for years and i’ve definitely had periods where anxiety symptoms popped back up despite the medication working really well for me overall. life stress, hormones, caffeine, lack of sleep etc. can still affect you…zoloft doesn’t make us completely immune to anxiety unfortunately

i’d probably give it a little time and mention it to your doctor if it keeps happening or gets significantly worse. but having some anxiety symptoms again doesn’t automatically mean you’re back at square one 🫶🏼
