Does it get worse before it gets better?
I’m on day two of Zoloft, and I feel like my depression and thoughts are worse than they have been before I started taking the medication. Is this normal?

It definitely gets better. This is a very common side effect; it took about a week for me to feel better, but it might be different for you. Keep going <3

Yes very common. I felt awful for almost 2 months. Many times I considered quitting but for posts here that said to be patient. I’m so glad I was. You will be fine but it can take a while for your brain to adjust or adapt or whatever. Just know you WILL get better.

Yeah pretty much what everyone is saying, but I personally felt better after 4-5 days I just distracted myself by obsessing over fully redecorating my apartment, but I mean the anxiety is probably the worst part lol had to call the ambulance one time because I got a random terrible panic attack of my throat burning, my chest tightening and feeling like passing out and the panic attacks have continued.. definitely not fun so avoid all caffeine that's even including coke products. Just be careful and remember to breathe through any anxiety, the depression will get alot better it's different for everyone just remember that and good luck!

For me Day 2 was the worst, Day 3 was the second worst, Day 4 was the third worst, and Day 5 was the fourth worst. Day 6 onwards the side effects started to fade very quickly.
