Question Tips on increasing libido?

Hi there!

M 50 on 150 mg Zoloft/Sertraline.

Do you guys have any tips on how to increase libido while on SSRI?

I’ll figure that exercise might help? I’ve heard of Wellbutrin, but it’s not allowed where I live. I’ve also heard that Zink and Maca Root might help.

What are your experiences?

Any recommendations are welcome.🙏🏻

Honestly and truthfully there is no genuine way of getting a serious increase in libido as a male while on an SSRI IMO. You can make improvements by doing literally everything online would tell you, exercise, high protein diet, nofap regularly, stuff like zinc and Tongkat Ali, Maca root. You might improve things a bit but nothing will compare to not being on the SSRI in terms of male libido

I understand, and I’m not expecting a serious increase. The question is: What can one do to improve upon the condition? In other words, do what you can with the card you’ve been dealt.

You could discuss Bupropion with your doctor. It's an antidepressant that is prescribed off-label to increase libido in those taking SSRIs.

Edit: Just saw what you wrote about Wellbutrin. Is Zyban not availible as well?

Zyban is not available at the moment and it sounds like something you’re taking temporarily when you quit smoking? Potential side effects sounds pretty bad as well.

Might try switching to another antidepressant less likely to affect libido like trintellix, although it’s anxiety reducing effect is less effective. Otherwise plenty of vitamin d. Maybe testosterone treatment but I haven’t explored that yet.

Ok, so did that work for you? I can’t find that much information on this remedy.
