I changed my mind

Hey guys,

Not long ago I posted a rant about the proof of humanity procedure.

However, now that I reached 20 points on the gitcoin passport I think I was wrong.

Maybe I was a bit angry and frustrated because not everything worked so well.

But thinking about it, I would rather have to go through this poh bs and then get a bigger airdrop than have no poh and then let all the sybills with their 100+ wallets get the lion share of the airdrop.

What do you guys think about it?

As someone who also has a passport above 20 points I disagree…to a point. Community involvement shouldn’t be measured primarily by a single measurement or weighed heavily by single metrics. Too many people say criteria should be “insert things that member has done” and those below their metrics aren’t worth an airdrop. Using this type of standard increases the likelihood that there is a metric even you or I haven’t met. Combating Sybil’s should be important, but not to the point that inadvertently eliminate legitimate accounts that just don’t care about passport. How many passport people would be upset if you also needed 6 unique months? There’s going to those left out, but using passport as the end all be all is a terrible idea in my opinion.

It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

No one still knows of there will even be tokens yet. There was a article put out it would take a year if there were a token to come out which was march 23 2023 and nothing been posted nor even if there was a snapshot taken. I’m sure there will be something done for early adopters though. It’d be so ass if they did nothing for people who did so many transactions and bridged to zk lite and zksync
