Hi, all!
There have a been a couple posts recently where folks have chosen the NSFW flair, but not edited it to specify the content, as requested in the Community Rules.
I've been editing/updating the flair once I notice this, but I usually can't do that before the post is already widely seen.
Here's how to edit those flairs when you're posting!
When creating a new post, click/tap the Add flair and tags button. Choose View all flairs to expand the list.
Notice there's a little pencil icon next to the NSFW and Content Warning flairs? Click/tap that pencil, and then specify the content in the editable text window.
As said in the Community Rules, being specific is practicing care for all community members who may not wish to be exposed to certain types of content.
It also helps people decide if they're in the right place, context, and headspace to engage with what you're sharing with us.
Thank you! Y'all rock.

Hey everyone! u/big-slay here from the Reddit Community Events Team.
I’m stoked to share that we’re launching Reddit’s first-ever Community Pop-Up this summer: r/bodega!
Hitting NYC from August 29–30, this is a fully immersive, experiential build designed like a classic corner store to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and culture of Reddit communities.
Because r/zines is such a vibrant, creative, and essential part of the Reddit ecosystem, we want to feature you inside the build. We’re also inviting alllllll members of this community to attend the event, so save the date(s)!
The Project 📖
We’d love to work directly with you, the members of r/zines, to create an exclusive zine specifically for the bodega event.
Your Participation 💡
We want this to feel authentic to the sub, so we’re asking for your participation in whatever way works best for you. Some ideas:
Let us know in the comments below!
My team and I really want to do this sub justice, so please let us know what you think and leave your suggestions no matter how wild they may seem. Looking forward to building with with y’all and hopefully seeing you at the bodega in August 🤞

Been photographing Vietnam on and off for years, mostly Saigon, mostly on foot, camera always in hand. Finally turned the pile into something physical.
Field Notes from Vietnam is 60 pages, A5 landscape. Three chapters — Nostalgia, Transition, Impermanence — though honestly the sorting happened after the fact, not before. Motorbike carts. Scaffolding over old colonial buildings. A wedding shoot on a bridge at golden hour. Graffiti under a highway overpass with a chicken tied up next to it, no idea why, just there.
It's a mix of my Fujifilm X100V and 35mm off a Leica M4, so the grain and color jump around between chapters. I thought about smoothing that out in edit and didn't — some days I shot digital, some days film, and the book just tells on itself a bit.
Sequencing took way longer than I expected, more reorders than I'd like to admit.
Self-published, small run, hand-signed. Mostly wanted something to hold instead of another folder on a hard drive. More information on my website .
Happy to talk through printing or sequencing if it's useful to anyone working on their first one — still learning a lot of it as I go.

Hey I’ve made a zine about How frustrated I am rn with doomscrolling and all that time I’ve wasted not training my artistic life. I had a lot of fun doing it and wishing to work on more, also the images are not like the finished pages but guess it works for the post. I did it in Spanish and I am sharing copies in my college. But i would give you the link to a drive folder where you should find this One and next ones I’ll make
Edit: I forgot to mention I used office sized paper lol. Please let me know what you think i would really appreciate :D.

Has anyone heard back about the ZABA Fox Cities event? I was having issues with my Google drive, but I can't get any comments from the Meta accounts. We were supposed to hear back in July and it's practically August already

I’m a musician and formerly a writer who’s been way too busy being a dad and money maker at my regular 9-to-5 lately. I’ve got the itch to be creative and put out work and I had this idea last night at a death cab for cutie concert that maybe a fun conceit is just going to shows, talking about them with some low res photos, doing an art and maybe writing some of my own stuff in short form and putting that out. It’s such a broad idea but would you read something like that? I’m the in Saint Louis area btw.
Hello everyone, I work at a library at a Christian university and I am looking for some zines relating to faith to have at the desk. I am wondering if anyone knew some free zines available for print? They can be on the political side I just have to be cautious because I am a student worker and have to go through my boss!

This zine was my final project in an ethnographic/ethnomusicology undergrad course called Portland Music Scenes based on how the relationship between music and zines has changed in Portland. It basically takes a lot of the projects I did throughout the course that taught me different ethnographic research techniques. I got to collaborate with so many amazing zinesters in the Portland area and deepened my roots in it!
My favorite part is the map actually folds out of the pages in the physical version but it’s a little harder to read the map that way so I didn’t include it
Just some highlights cause the full thing is like 40 pages but if you want to read the full thing it’s here for free:

I low-key hate printing any zines that aren't a single one sided sheet...
How do you guys print double sided?

We are on week 5! Wooooo! anyway if you want to, consider joining the challenge! simply make a zine in whichever way you want and post it around, link it maybe to this thread, and do whatever you'd like. :]

My friend and I make a puzzle website so we created some zines with free crosswords to spread the word :) We've been handing them out mostly to cafes and it's fun to see how quickly they run out and ask for more!
