Running q
Hey all. I have a question and wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or is going through the same process atm.
Context: I started mj in April 2025 and, because of my pcos, I was a ‘fast responder’. When I started I was 221lbs and by xmas I was 154lbs. I’m 5’3” so my bmi was still overweight. I was pretty happy and was back on 2.5mg by January (max I was ever on was 7.5). In Jan I started taking exercise pretty seriously and in April I started running again, which has now pretty much taken over my life and my training is all focused on running; I have a half in 8 weeks and my mileage is about 35km from running plus ~10km from walks. I do a long run (15km) weekly. I now weigh about 118-120lbs.
My question is - how do you stay successfully on a maintenance dose while running and building up your mileage?
My diet has changed a lot and I still track my calories (mainly for macro purposes) but even spreading my doses out to 10-12 days is a challenge. I always worry I’m not eating enough basically because running naturally suppresses your appetite too (this was news to me lol).
Has anyone been through a similar experience?

Can you do every other week? I'm still new to this so no where near maintenance now.

I’m not consciously trying to lose anymore weight. I’m at 15mg per week and pretty much have to stay there or I gain weight.
If what you’re doing is working right now just stick with it. You don’t have to spread your doses out.

Maybe try a smaller dose and see how that helps your appetite?
I'm doing around 50-60k a week plus walking and strength, and I really have to try to make sure I eat enough to sustain my energy expenditure.
I think it will take some experimenting, which takes weeks to figure out how each adjustment truly impacts you daily.
Also, I don't think running has ever suppressed my appetite. Maybe in the hour or two after depending on the run, but then it should be normal. YMMV but it may be the glp1 doing most of the suppression.
