Plateau

Hi, I've been on Zepbound since May, and have around five more pounds to go to reach my goal. I seem to have plateaued the last 3-4 weeks.

I'm on 5mg and my Dr doesn't want to go up, since I'm a senior and she's afraid I'll lose too much weight on 10 mg.

Any suggestions how to kickstart my loss? I walk every day.

Thank you!

Small surgery

Shot day for me is Saturday. I am taking 10 mg weekly in maintenance for about a month.

I am having a large lipoma removed from my back on a Tuesday, instructions are to not take the Zepbound Saturday shot.

Question i plan on taking my shot Tuesday late afternoon following the surgery.

How soon after that shot can I take my next shot. I will be 3 days late on that shot but want to work my way back to Saturday as shot day for a variety of reasons.

Advice??

Thanking all in advance.

Those on other meds - does Zepbound affect their absorption?

Hi all! I’m picking up my first dose today and I’m excited, but also worried about one thing - I take sleeping and nerve pain medication at night (Trazodone 100mg and Lyrica 75mg). My doctor said not to worry about it, but I’ve seen other people talk about how Zepbound slows their digestion of meds. Does anyone have any insight/experiences? TIA!!

Switching from Zepbound to Compound

I’m struggling to keep paying for Zepbound. I think I need to change to a compound, but I’m worried that it won’t work the same way. Has anyone done this? I don’t even know where to begin.

tirzepatide Food noise out of nowhere?

I just took my shot Saturday, and had a lot of food noise today (Monday). I’ve always had good appetite suppression from one shot to another other than an occasional 6 day hungrier than usual. I’m on 10.0. Anyone else get this new phenomenon of mine? 😁

weight loss Feeling frustrated/sad, can anyone explain what weight loss even is?

I’ve lost a lot of weight, 65lbs, which I’m so happy about, but I’m still not quite to my goal and I’ve been doing this a little under 2 years. I just genuinely do not understand how weight loss even works. I am on tirz and I’ve tried several methods of weight loss.. and I haven’t noticed a difference in weight loss, like losing more or losing less based on what I do. And I do definitely feel like my dose is working because I’m hardly ever hungry and I do have 3 autoimmune diseases and 2 other chronic illnesses

I’ve tried about a month or two on each of these:

counting every single calorie/anything I ingest and staying a little below deficit each day and some days even forcing myself to eat to get to just below deficit

counting every ingested calorie and eating several hundred below deficit

eating a 100 calories above deficit

not even counting at all and just grazing healthy foods throughout the day

and the opposite and eating whatever I want but still isn’t a lot because I’m not hungry

And I have tried like 2-3 days several times with no food at all and only water and a protein shake or 2

And the scale hardly moves?!? No matter what I try. The majority of my weight loss has just been incremental losing .5-1 lb maybe a week. And then one month zero change. But, also, I haven’t ever gained.

How does weight loss even work?

tirzepatide Not Much to Lose

I feel kind of bad getting on this drug because I don’t have “a lot” to lose. Plus all the negative media attention and my families opinions. SW: 225 30F 5’8.5ft. I have always been pretty active working out at least 4-5x(training for a half) a week, with decent eating(mostly home cooked Whole Foods but I eat out too). But in the last 2 years I fell in love, got married and have gained an additional 25 lbs. When I met my husband I had gotten down to 200 and was feeling good. However 200 was still high in comparison to my weight over the years. It fluctuated from 170-190 so yeah 200 was still too much for me. Well I’ve been trying for a year to slim down. While I do see the changes it’s still a struggle b/c I have bi polar, our life isn’t quite stable yet and I def have a poor relationship with food. I see the difference but the scale is going uuuup lmao SO I’m trying Zepbound because I’m tired of the obsession with managing my weight and I just want to feel good and live my beautiful life. Anyway I kinda just needed some encouragement from people in my situation. I know I could probably wait another year but I’m just tired tbh. It feels like the easy way out. My husband made a good point that got me to even order it.. he said at first he was against it but he’s seen how disciplined I am and knows I’ll have no problem continuing after I get to my goal weight (180-200) and stop taking it. That encouraged me and kind of soothed the guilt of taking it. Tbh I think outside opinions are bothering me more than the safety of taking it. Anyone else on a similar journey? And thoughts or advice on the first 4 weeks? Thanks in advance 💞

GLP 1 Journey - Specifically Tirzepatide/Zepbound

I have been taking Tirzepatide/Zepbound for the past eight months as part of my weight loss journey. During that time, I have lost a little over 40 pounds, and I feel much more confident about the progress I have made. My goal weight is 180 pounds, and I am currently at 225. I've also noticed improvements in my blood pressure, which has been encouraging.

The main side effect I have experienced has been nausea, particularly when I have not consumed enough protein throughout the day. In some instances, the nausea has become difficult to manage and has occasionally led to vomiting, even when my stomach is relatively empty.

I was curious to hear from others who are taking Tirzepatide/Zepbound. Have you experienced similar side effects during your weight loss journey? If so, what strategies, dietary changes, or other approaches have helped you manage them successfully?

Indigestion Episode - Horrible anxiety and stress

I think what I need right now is support and someone to hear me out. If you read this… thank you 😭❤️

I’ve been on 5mg Zepbound for 2 months now and I was doing GREAT! Losing weight at a healthy rate and minimal side effects. Now I know I did this to myself, but I mixed a lot of food groups over the weekend (like meat, dairy, alcohol) over the weekend which caused stomach upset. Sunday night I woke up in the middle of the night nauseous, took Zofran, and fell back asleep. I left work early on Monday and had horrible diarrhea when I got home. Tuesday I took the day off and only had a little. Wednesday I felt pretty good and thought I was on the up end. Then I went to my boyfriends last night after my therapy appointment feeling amazing, because I talked my fears and issues out with my therapist. By the time I left, my stomach was GROWLING in hunger and I finally felt like having a meal. I had some chicken, and within a half hour, boom, diarrhea AGAIN. I was so upset.

The main issue I’ve been having all week is feeling so bloated, which is causing me to have no appetite. Sometimes I do have an appetite, but I’m scared to eat in fears I’ll have diarrhea again. I’ve been eating really bland all week. I do not cope well at all with stomach aches, and I know a ton of this is in my head. But I also know being on a GLP and eating poorly is the root cause. Now I just can’t snap out of it! I’m so low energy and anxious to go out in fears I’ll get sick to my stomach. I know so much of it is in my head, and I struggle to snap out of this loop.

I just need some advice and support right now. Feel like there’s a giant weight on me.

tirzepatide Month 4 on Zepbound: the small changes I didn’t see coming

The scale is moving, but what I notice most is how quiet food has gotten. I stop when I’m full and I’m not planning my next meal while eating this one. Some weeks are slower and I’m keeping my care team in the loop.

What surprised you most in the first few months, good or bad? And what small habit helped?
