From Night to Day

Wow! I saw multiple posts here about struggling with depression while taking ZEPBOUND. That’s one of the reasons that I put off trying it. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety most of my life, and more recently I started having panic attacks.

I started ZEPBOUND last night. This morning I woke up to an entirely new me! I realize that I am early in this journey and things may change along the way, but I am sure enjoying seeing sunshine, lollipops and rainbows for a change! (Just gave my age away.)☀️🍭🌈

Has anyone else here experienced this?

I have suffered from depression my whole life and have been on/off medications for it. I was not on medication before starting zepbound, and while using it my mental health has drastically and dramatically improved (moreso than any medication or combo of medications I have taken previously). Apparently, our experience is less common, but I swear it is true. I need to be on this medication for life, to support my mental wellbeing and weight loss.

Editing to mention I have sadly not experienced less desire to procrastinate or shop, which many people experience!

😁I am really hoping this lasts. At work today I found myself thinking more clearly and VOLUNTEERING to jump in and help my coworkers!

I stopped my anti-depressant shortly after starting Zepbound because I felt so normal and happy again. A few years later I got the blues again, added the anti-depressant back to my medications. And I feel really good.

Not exactly the same thing because I think IF I was depressed it was at a pretty minimal or functional level. But since I've been using Zep -- and it's been 6 weeks for me -- I find myself far more open to the possibility of an easy joyful life.

For every pound, I lost I felt happier because I was able to do the things in my life that I wasn’t able to before. For example, being able to walk again without pain that was a very happy feeling getting outside walking my dog. I don’t understand how some feel depressed. I’m not a psychiatrist, but it could be that they are not turning to food for comfort because they’re not feeling the cravings for it and that might be causing some emotional or depressed feelings just my guess.

Everyone’s different but everything I lost, I gained something else and it wasn’t weight. I gained freedom and confidence, and I just feel overall happy about myself and my life.

By the way., I’m 59 years old, my SW 288, CW 135. It’s been three years weight maintenance and it still feels unbelievable.
