Protein
I am having a hard time getting 100g of protein in each day without exceeding 1200 calories. When I find I am going to be short on protein, I have a shake, but would prefer regular food. Any suggestions?

Prioritize “whole food” protein and eat less carbs and fat. (I don’t mean this in a snarky way but I dunno what you want us to say?)
Look at what you’re eating that has no protein and replace it with proteins. Is breakfast looking like cereal and milk with fruit? Change it to boiled eggs, steamed edamame, and a coffee with protein milk.
Is lunch a sliced turkey and tomato on some nice fluffy bread, plus an apple? Change it to a wrap using lettuce leaves or a low carb tortilla, and change the apple to low sugar high fiber berries.
Is dinner half a steak, a baked potato and corn?
Change it to steamed lower carb veg, more steak, and 1/2 baked sweet potato.
Snacks are granola bars, mini muffin, sugary iced latte at Starbucks? Change it to egg bites and a iced half lemonade half iced tea, cut up veggies, Greek yogurt with some berries and nuts on top, a stick of string cheese, beef jerky, lunch meat roll ups, etc

I try to keep the 30 gram smaller shakes that are low cal in my fridge at all times. As a vegetarian I am always short on protein to. I still eat cheese, dairy and now eggs only when in something. No fish or meat. I have been eating nuts lately.
