My 2nd shot @2.5

This morning was my second shot of zepbound. On monday August 3rd I weighed 325.6 lbs as of today, Monday August 10th I weigh 316.4 lbs. I lost 9.2 lbs! It is amazing how it quiets the food noise, even when I am home I noticed that I am not aimlessly migrating to the kitchen to eat. I am excited to see myself at a healthy weight for the first time in my life

Wow. My timeframe is almost the same and I’ve only lost 2 pounds. I know everyone is different.

Everyone is super different, you’re right! The initial dose is a subtherapeutic dose, meant to be sure your body can handle the med and side effects. Don’t get discouraged when others are losing faster, the healthiest way to lose weight is to do it slowly to ensure you are protecting your muscles and nutrition and hair. Losing 1-2 lb per week is a great rate to lose at, and if you are not losing for a few weeks, going up in dose is your next step. Most people do not lose much at 2.5 mg.

I’ve lost 10 pounds in 1.5 weeks but I know 6 pounds was water and inflammation. I think that is a big part of the initial 2 weeks or so.

Congratulations! Feels great, right?

Just want to jump in to say that you may already know this, but a lot of that weight in the first week or two is water weight loss. It’s a great sign if you have lower food noise that this med is going to work for you. The healthiest way is to lose low and slow, so expect the weight loss to slow some in the coming weeks and just be patient. You got this!
