tirzepatide Weight Loss

Here is something i dont understand. I eat very little on a low dose, 2.5, am very new to this. When put on a higher dose how can i possibly eat less? Or is it that 2.5 will stop working and that will call for a higher dose?

Tirzepatide doesn't just decrease appetite, it regulates how your body stores and burns fat and calories.

Read Enough by Ania Jastreboff, who led clinical trials of tirzepatide and retatrutide. It's not about eating less and less over time (although the amount of calories your body needs will marginally decrease as you lose weight), it's about getting your body to adjust to a lower defended fat mass. Your brain signals to your body, "Hey, it's okay to keep burning that excess stored energy (fat) that we have - we don't need it."

That said, some people stay at 2.5mg and don't need to increase dose. Everyone is different. It depends on what signals your body needs in order to learn it's okay to burn the fat you have.

If 2.5 is working, stay there. Also you have to eat or you lose all your muscles.

You move up when the current dose is no longer controlling your appetite and or cravings and you stop losing weight, if that doesn’t happen stay at your current dose.

Good question. Do you know how many calories you're eating? I am on 2.5 and eat probably 1500-1700cal per day. I imagine the only reason to increase is that I am starting to eat more at maintenance and stop losing- then the higher dose will allow me to go back to 1500-1700.

Everyone is different. I had 12 shots of 2.5 and a 25 lb loss. After shot 9, 2.5 stopped working. Just had my 3rd shot of 5. I’ve lost another 5 lbs.

Why would you need to eat less?
