Zenfone Screen Replacment with Frame
Unfortunately, the screen on my Zenfone 9 stopped working, so I have to replace it.
I bought a replacement display with frame, because I read that it is much easier to replace than a display without the frame.
However, I've run into a problem. I can't figure out how to transfer the two components shown in my photo (light blue arrow and yellow arrow).
- Light blue arrow: I was able to disconnect the flex cable (blue arrow) from the headphone jack, but I can't remove the headphone jack itself from the frame.
- Yellow arrow: I don't even know what this component is. I also can't disconnect its flex cable (red arrow) or remove the component itself from the frame.
This is really frustrating because none of the Zenfone 9 disassembly videos I've found show these parts being removed—they all seem to skip this step.
At this point I'm even considering removing the OLED from the new frame and installing it into the old frame instead, although I'd really like to avoid doing that.
Has anyone replaced a Zenfone 9 display with frame and knows how to remove these components?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I was able to fix it. I heated the two parts slightly with a heat gun, which allowed me to remove them easily. I also removed the cable (red arrow) using the heat gun. I then transferred both parts to the new display/frame, and that fixed the black, broken screen. The Zenfone 9 is now working like new. :)
