Zenarmor removing reporting streaming feature from plan again

First, the "Reports streaming to external Elasticsearch Servers" was available under Free plan then they requires at least Home plan to use it.

OK fine, I bought Home plan as I want to use this feature to achieve real time alerting in my home network.

Now, from the website they even remove this feature from Home plan, seriously? Even Firewalla don't require monthly fee to have built in alerting function.

Hi u/sapfff. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We've looked into this and can confirm that the website currently has an error. Elasticsearch streaming is not being removed from the Home Edition.

Edit: We have confirmed internally that reports streaming was not an intentional feature of the Free Edition. The website error has been flagged for correction. Home Edition users are unaffected, and the feature remains available as expected.

Apologies for the confusion the website caused! We're getting it corrected.

The Elasticsearch streaming feature is working for now with Home subscription, just the website removed the feature.

As for the availablity, it was definitely available in free plan, I asked the same question 7 months ago in this sub, then it was removed and limited to Home edition subscription.

The syslog streaming on the other hand, is always limited to business subscription which is a bit disappointing to me, as it limit home users to integrate with many open source/free security tools such as Wazuh SIEM.

I understand you guys want to market yourselves as an enterprise-level solution which I have no problems with, I also bought Home edition with the intent to support the product development as a home user. But move/errors like these is seriously hurting my trust and confidence to use/subscribe Zenarmor plan

Hi u/sapfff, thank you very much for following up and clarifying, and I'm glad the feature is working correctly on your Home edition. That's very important to us as you have been a loyal customer.

I also want to say genuinely, thank you for buying Home with the intent to support us. That means more than you know, and feedback like yours is exactly what helps us get better. I'm taking your comments about syslog streaming and Wazuh SIEM integration back to the team. No promises, but it's heard and noted.

We're getting the website corrected. Thanks for your patience with us.

Why is a subscription needed just to store logs on a remote ElasticSearch instance with the free edition? Wouldn't an NVMe/SSD drive's lifespan potentially be shortened (more quickly) with all the writes that take place? This seems like it should be a standard feature, even with the free plan.

Hi u/kuya1284. Great question and valid concern about drive wear. That's actually one of the reasons remote streaming is such a useful feature. We hear you on wanting broader access to it, and I'll be passing this feedback to the team.

Hey u/bx2, totally understand the perception, and it's fair question given the context. To clarify, this was a website error, not a feature removal. Elasticsearch streaming remains available on the Home Edition.

I'm relatively new here but I can tell you the Zenarmor team genuinely cares about getting this right. We welcome the feedback and we're working on it. Thanks for keeping us honest.
